LOVE Lagunamar just went 2 months ago!! I have the vistana Timeshare of this property. I want to sell after this Marriott Club Points (which made everything more complicated). But when I´m there, I loveeee!!! If you want to buy it, Jeremyyyy, let me know, LOL

I am not looking to buy more Vistana timeshare at the moment. We are starting to branch out into different brands. If you are looking to sell, I would suggest checking out the TUG Marketplace at www.tug2.net. I don't know exactly what you own, but Westin Lagunamar and Westin Aventuras do have some resale value. You just won't get anything close to what you paid to purchase it directly from Vistana. Thanks for watching!

Staff incredible, service incredible.... along with pools, facilities, and Duna. Recommend Chaudrai in Cancun proper to stock up on groceries etc. KOR @ Maui, and Lagunamar, Cancun: never disappointed.

I agree, great resort all around. I have never gone to the Chaudrai but I did order from there through the Cornershop app. I think though it was from the location at the north end of the Hotel Zone. Thanks for watching!

Is this resort more family and couple oriented? Me and a few buddies are looking to stay at a resort. Age range 27-30. Any nightlife at the resort? Anybody?

The Westin Lagunamar is more of a family resort. So there will be young kids. There is no real nightlife other than a bar/restaurant that stays open a little late. You might want to check in to the many all inclusive resorts that are all throughout the Cancun Hotel Zone.

Great vid!! We plan to go Nov 9-13 right before high season. Is weather warm in nearly November ? Or should we go in December or January. Trying to avoid rainy season as much as we can :)

Early November should be okay, but that is starting to get into cooler months. That can be good though. January can be iffy. We went once in January and it was windy and cool, but the weather can also be great.

@@eo6394 Yes. Prior to your stay they will send you an email asking if you want to purchase airport transfers. Their service is through The One. As of now, private roundtrip transportation is $75.

Just booked an oceanfront studio at lagunamar. Any recommendations on rooms or buildings to request that would have the best views or rooms or buildings we should avoid?

The oceanfront units are only in buildings 1, 9 and 14. I would just suggest to avoid 14 as it is far away from the big pool and also kind of overlooks the Live Aqua resort next door. 1 or 9 are great buildings to request. Have a great trip!

Unfortunately I can't really help with that. We've only been to the Westin Lagunamar and the JW Marriott hotel in Cancun. I do know some people that went to the Wyndham Alltra Cancun (used to be Panama Jacks) with kids and enjoyed it.

I am curious how you experience was making reservations to this resort. Did you use Abound? I am a bit concerned that I can only reserve vistana resorts 12 months out while I can reserve marriotts 13 months out

We didn't have any issues, but our reservation was made before Abound was rolled out. That said, even though Abound can make reservations at 13 months, this only applies to Marriott resorts. Vistana resorts won't release inventory in Abound until 12 months. Also, the inventory in Abound is separate from what is in VSN. Lagunamar will only make it into Abound if a Lagunamar owner elects their week for points. I suspect making StarOption reservations moving forward won't be that big of an issue for most dates. If you own Westin Aventuras, you may have some other issues because there isn't a lot of Lagunamar inventory in Westin Aventuras. Most inventory in Aventuras is from the Los Cabos resort.

@@CrimsonTiger3x I just found it so big it was a lot of walking. I guess if I had a wheelchair it would have been easier. It's accessible if you do have one. I'm not at that point hopefully will get better. I'm used to smaller resorts or ones that have golf carts to get you around. Mostly we go to Ocean Pointe in Florida & I pick a building that's close to pool. Stayed in Orlando once & was close to pool & they had golf carts to get to other areas of the resort.

@@joannefeyerer2201 I hope you get better; if u return to Lagunamar, def bring a wheelchair... less wear and tear on your legs... request loding in the east bldgs close to Duna, and the other restaurant : the east pool has beach entry so no stairs... and ur close to the swim up bar! we always stay on the east bldgs (more quiet/tranquil) and with the elevators and ramps throughout the area--zero problems. My wife thought that the west side bridge was doable with the wheelchair... I didnt think so cuz of its steepness and I was spot on right! With the wheelchair you will also be able to visit LA ISLA shopping mall across the street... some of our fav restaurants.. like Cambaleche. Good luck on your future adventures... Joanne.

Melissia uses a mobility scooter and had no issues. It is large and she drives fast so the only issue I had was trying to keep up. Some of the ramps are a little annoying because you have to double back to get to the opening of the ramp, but other than that getting around with a wheelchair is fine. I can understand issues trying to walk though. Best to also ask for a building near the main lobby if you plan to go across the street a lot.

@@DestinationTimeshare OMG went across the street to a dinner with Westin as a reward for the talk it was my one & only time not a fun walk. Just took taxis. We really had no choice in room location as we used II maybe thru MVC you get better choices. I wish I could have enjoyed it more the pools are awesome.

The resort is HUGE! However the exterior decor is so sterile.

with the blue/torquoise ocean as a backdrop from every room, I like the clean neutral colors of the exterior. elegance versus "party time". There other hotels like the hard rock... for that type of exterior.
