Absolutely love the Whistler series. (Although never have worked out just who/what/why the Whistler character is meant to be). But listening to these 11 hour anthologies as a means to fall asleep during many long months of insomnia can be bad for the sanity….. 11 hours of the famous yellow and black logo Signal oils and petroleum and battery adverts is enough to make one scream. 90 seconds before each episode. 60 seconds to end each episode. Plus a minute before the denouement. Every. Single. Episode. Aaaaaaaargh 🫠🥴🤪 5 secret additives. Better grease packed wheel bearings. Rubber encased batteries. Go further special new anti-knock, treated ‘gasoline’. Signal premium motor oil…. They get into your dreams, turning them into petrochemical nightmares of the west; from Canada to California…. Help! Thanks for uploading these. Keep ‘em coming. Nothing on tv comes close. Off to listen to Vincent Price as the Saint now. Another superlative late 1940s masterpiece of OTR. With endless Lever products squeezed in at every opportunity…… 😱 Still. A small price to pay (in sanity) for such gems of audio drama. Thanks again. Peace to all 🙏
