John Entwistle is the greatest bass player to ever walk the face of this Earth. I hope I can one day achieve this level of skill.

The best thing about John is he's basically playing like that all the time, not just in solos, he never just follows the beat, yet everything he does fits in so perfectly
@thecolourrose9022 Жыл бұрын
but he knew when to turn the intensity down and not 'show off' as much the legend had a god given talent and disipline he is my idol and always will be unfortunatly i wouldnt of had the oppotunity to meet and chat to him (excuse my spelling im pissed)

Even in his moments of fast riffing chaos, he keeps near perfect time. Keith Moon wouldn't have worked with a lesser bass player.

I told my son that I loved a heavy handed bass player and he asked what do you mean and I told him just check out John Entwistle. That is as well as I could explain myself. Rip. Matthew.

I've been fortunate enough to see The Who perform "live" in every decade since the 1970's. In 2006 and 2022, I was a bit worried, beforehand, about how they would perform, but there was no need for concern as each time they exceeded all expectations. Truly the greatest rock 'n roll band of all time, hands down.

As a young man I missed the who in their prime but the fact their music lives on and I know the names of entwistle, moon, daltrey and townshend better than anything this decade has produced says it all. True artists of their time and none of them will be forgotten yet work they produced is timeless!

@JeromeWade-lm8jh A fine drummer but as you know, Jones wasn't the best fit with The Who. Zak Starkey was taught to play the drums by Keith Moon himself!

I saw them at Wembley Arena a couple of days earlier. Absolutely amazing gig. Pete Townshend had a cold and still played superbly. John's playing was enormous, and his solo has been imprinted on my memory. Roger was on perfect vocal form and looking cool in his, then 50s. Just a perfect gig. Thanks, chaps!! 😊

Entwistle was a great bassist -- in his medium, like playing with the Who. Listening to this is like musical masturbation. It does nothing at all. I'd give it 4 thumbs down, if I couldn't give it 5. No-go John, you lose.
@pa30fps2 ай бұрын
@@virginieguichaoua7872 Hardly. I'm a hack bassist, & I know it (& I don't care). I just have fun. It's just annoying when you hear a great musician play something so non-musical.
