Does anyone else get this overwhelming feeling of longing while watching The Who in their prime?? I mean, they were so so so great that it pains me that these days are gone. There will never be another band that is this powerful on stage ever again.

Definitely. I saw the Who in 1967, my first ever live gig. Townsend smashed his guitar to bits right in front of me and my brother ( we were 15 and 17). Life changing experience. Still burned into my memory like it was yesterday.

I Feel The Same - Would've loved to party with Keith for even just 24hrs - He KNEW How to have FUN - & could get away with Crazy Shit! If I could go back in time (1Time) - See an early Who show, & then Party with Keith after - that's what I would do - without a Doubt. Not The Stones or The Beatles or The Kinks. I am too Young to have seen the Loon, But I was lucky to see Entwistel with Rodger & Pete preform QUADROPHENIA - & I'll NEVER forget THAT show. STILL - It would have been SO MUCH BETTER if Keith had Been there TOO (of Course)!! Favorite Band - & Favorite Drummer - Bassist - Singer, & Power Chord playing Songwriter.

I became a huge Who fan when I was 10 years old. I bought all their albums and knew all their songs by heart. I was lucky enough to see them live in 1989 when I was 18 and I remember walking out of the stadium thinking to myself…. I get it now. I understand why they’re the greatest band ever. Those songs were written to be played in front of an audience. It was the most incredible concert I’ve ever seen to this day. Baba O’Riley live? 72,000 people singing along with Pete during that break. Forget about it….. you can’t get any better than that.

For me the funniest part is at 1:13 when Pete, having had enough of Keith's verbal interjections, acerbically says of Keith, "I wish I was sitting back there surrounded by various (alcoholic) brews. He has a little (beer) tap on the side of each drum". Hilarious!

That drumming! The other big bands around were Hendrix (Mitch), Beatles (Ringo), Stones (Charlie), or the Kinks (Mick), and though Mitch came close, no one did THIS! So fluid, so tasty, so busy, yet so married to the music; a force unto themselves, a solo instrument, a melodic and rhythmic shaman!

But Moon's drumming worked because Townshend was a strummer, not a riff-player. Moon filled in the sparseness that would have been filled by a Jimmy Page.

The who were a perfect storm. A crazy drummer who became "the best Keith Moon style" drummer ever. A guy who re-invented how the play the bass guitar. A visionary lyricist who was an amazing showman, and a damn fine guitarist. One of the most recognizable voices in Rock history. Oh my goodness.

Great video and song thank you. I isolated John's bass parts and I was astonished at just what he's playing. Bass but with what sounds like rhythm and lead guitar parts. Incredible to say the least. John carries the entire band including keeping time. New found respect. Moon is all over the place, Pete is a powerhouse and Roger is doing his best. John even singing the falsetto chorus highs.

I got as close as I could I ended up standing on a big PVC pipe that was covering wires probably about 40 yards away the best song that they played to me was Sister Disco when they did Behind Blue Eyes Kenny Jones blue it you messed every symbol I was waiting for he missed every symbol I was waiting for then the most coolest thing that happened was I seen Keith factor for a moment I seen him back there
