Fantastic review on a fantastic album. It definitely contains some of The Whos best work on it such as "The Real Me", "Bell Boy", "Im One" and "Love Reign Or Me". Thanks for a great review, take care.

Great album. I saw THE WHO live 2 years ago and was an amazing concert. It is unbelievable that Daltrey & Townshed had more than 70 years old.Greetings from Canary Islands

Hi, so glad you reviewed this one. A brilliant album. I agree with you on just about everything, though i might give Dr. Jimmy a bit higher score. Also i think Helpless Dancer is not all that bad. Did i hear you say you saw the Who? What year? Do you still have Who's Next i sent you? I enjoy watching your reviews cause your very fair.

It’s been forever since I listened to this album, I really need to revisit it. Great review Ross, I think I agree with pretty much everything you said. Not perfect but very admirable, ambitious and enjoyable.

Such a great review, Ross. One of your best. Along with who’s next my favourite who album. Standout tracks 515, the punk and the godfather, the real me, Bell boy , dirty jobs and love reign over me. A masterpiece.

Better than Tommy? But Tommy has "See Me Feel Me" & Pinball Wizard", whereas Quadrophenia has no really memorable songs, and as you pointed out, the songs start sounding the same as they recycle ideas over four sides of vinyl. So this, for me, is not a Tommy; but it's still a cool album. It was not on my radar back in 1973 (I was too obsessed by the many solo Beatle and Beatles 62-70 red/blue album releases that year, I suppose) and didn't even hear Quadrophenia in its entirety until the 1990's. I actually like Who By Numbers more than this album. But A+ to the cover and design of the album jacket!
