The internet is a smaller place then we think! I knew the time lapse of you driving looked like familiar geography. One of our pastures in just 4 miles south of that peninsula field along 183. Keep up the good work on your videos. Subscribing here and on FB.

How many lbs an acre of seed did you put on and how many lbs of actual Nitrogen did you put on per acre?
@bewleycustomag58683 жыл бұрын
We plant about 25lb to the acre the thicker is is the finer the stems. If i remember right about 60lb But evidently that was too much on this ground that lay under water last summer from the lake flooding. The hay ended up being high in nitrates so could not be fed alone to cattle it had to be diluted to about 10% of a ration. The year before I grew some under a pivot it had a total of 120lb N. And it was perfectly safe to feed by itself.

Yea we grow a lot of different stuff here . It’s a big learning curve farming in a different continent im from Cheshire Uk originally . I came over to do the 2000 mile harvest 21 years ago and married the daughter . Now we contract and farm over here .

Hello . I saw your millet hay process. It's looks good. I am going to do the same this year after wheat harvesting . Do you have the final result or any advice which can help. Thank you and best regards Mounir George khamis

Are you going to notill into the wheat stubble. I did 2 -3 years ago under pivot irrigation it made awsome feed. Plant about 20-25lb to the acre. And only feed it 30-40lb of N it will take right off. If you leave 5-6” of stubble when you mow it there’s a good chance it will grow back and you can cut it again graze or even leave what’s left for good cover. Good luck.

This is my first year with property. We have 50 chicken and if I can get those kind of results from my land I'll never have a feed bill. Looking great guy's! Love it
