This was a fantastic bio on a legendary entertainer. Moms was an out lesbian in her film debut in The Emperor Jones. You wouldn’t recognized her however in the film but she is the Speakeasy Matron who throws a couple of men out her joint for fighting. She had mellowed her act out by the time she was featured in the 1948 film Killer Diller. And by the time she made her last film Amazing Grace in 1975 she had become the old lady everyone loved to hear. A truly amazing lady.
