Hope you are doing well, Tim. I found out from your newsletter the other day that my birthday this year fell on Marina Day, making it a little more special to celebrate. It's an appropriate holiday for me to give thanks to the sea as i'm a fishmonger by trade, and the ocean provides for me. I took a moment to meditate for all it has offered me over the years. I also survived a direct hit from Hurricane Beryl here in Texas recently. The storm surge and flooding did not affect me despite being on the waterfront. We gave thanks for that as well. I was very fortunate to be spared its hardships, though others were not. Im happy to see a new video from you. The story of the princess and flutest was very lovely. It was made even better seeing the site of the tree who fell in love with a princesses music. Peace to you, Tim, and thanks for sharing.

Hello! Yes we use Shakujo, although they are for Buddhist ceremonies. I’ve actually been looking for one to use when I lead the Heart Sutra and some mantras. Strictly Shinto yamabushi don’t use them as far as I’m aware, but with Master Hoshino we do a fusion of Shinto and Buddhist so do use them.
