I like light tread in the middle, but heavier on the sides. I'm a fan of the WTB Raddlers.

I know where this as use ride there when I was student at the Uni nearby & did it once on a cx bike. One thing you didn't mention is there are hikers(and riders) that go the wrong direction. I did it twice and both times nearly hit a hiker who I didn't see taking the turn. Near the end of my second run I saw a guy riding his mtb the wrong way.

@@mellissanash7517 Probably wouldn't have gone over well with the family in the middle of the night. Hopefully, people use common sense like they should on all trails.
