Fruition is by far my favorite The Wild Reeds song. Just tremendous. I believe Sharon described it as a lullaby into panic back into a lullaby again. Absolutely beautiful.

Fruition is just mindblowing. One of those "once-in-a-few-years" songs you need to hear repeatedly over several weeks, right after the first time..

I saw them live at Terminal 5 in New York City with Shakey Graves and they were phenomenal! I am now a fan. Their harmonies and intensity was a complete 180 from the seemingly soft grunge mood. They performed like champions fighting in a gladiator ring. I love it, Rock on ladies!!!

Just saw a link where Rolling Stone called them "country" and "for fans of the Mandrell Sisters." What? lol They seem to be plopped in the indie-folk category (where they put bands that can't be nailed down) but I hear a lot of different influences, including Velvet Underground/Nico. Wonderful sound and a great voice, regardless. Thanks again KEXP :)

The album before the one these songs are from is much less indie rock. I'd also call it their best

Great vocals, melodies, and musicianship, but the last couple of times I've listened to them I've been struck by the quality of the songwriting as well. Intelligent lyrics from a unique perspective without falling into the "too clever" trap. Between Tiny Desk Concerts and KEXP performances I'm becoming a big fan.
