@ 1. They don't rotate enough. People who suck at defense or offense need to get better at each respective position, not just settle into the role you're good at now. 2. You don't need someone all the way in the goal in order to play effective defense. It's a complete waste of a player. But they don't know / want to take that risk yet which is fair.

Back again with some more rocket league tips! I seen yall are starting to get the rotations down, just a few slip ups; your goalie is a last resort contact with the ball, because once they hit it, or miss it, your goal is wide open. So when your goalie hits the ball the attacker in the front should already be rotating back to cover goal while the goalie pushes the ball to the other side of the field (i.e. when Lee defends the goal let him take it to the other side of the field while the attacker comes back to take over goalie) but obviously use gamer sense if you know they can’t follow up their shot, be behind them to take over(pause)

TL;DR On tee-offs person in front always goes for ball, second furthest back waits a couple of seconds and follows up where the ball launches, and back person protects goal. This isn’t really necessary, but it’s the most optimal method to gain initial control. To get even more advanced, if you spawn on the left corner always go for tee off immediately, and if someone spawns on the right side backflip into the boost orb and the ball will always tee to the right wall and you can boost to get to it very quickly. If you are going for ball on tee-off stay on ball cam and burn all your boost while watching the meter, the moment it hits zero front flip and you’ll hit the ball first (sending it to the right wall).

Also NEVER be afraid to go for aerials. They are a lot easier to hit when you time it when it’s bouncing up, not coming back down. My comment on the other video tells how to fly. Attacker should always go for aerials because that’s the only way to learn it and get better. Don’t worry if you miss every single one, that’s what rotating your team is for. You’ll eventually build muscle memory flying and timing the hit when it’s up towards the ceiling.

Also Des remember, this isn’t soccer. They look similar but you can’t have your team move like a soccer team. It’s okay to want to be the one pressing them all the time, but you gotta play all 3 positions or else the synergy won’t work and you won’t get goals (and will get scored on)
