"All Friends Welcome" is also kind of a reference to LoTR. The Mines of Moria had "speak FRIEND to enter". And his password name is the name of the brown wizard from LoTR. The brown wizard has a deep connections to the wild, to animals. As for the wizard leading the dragon, Dominate Monster is a spell in D&D...but it would be hard to do because not only would you need to roll CRAZY high but dragons have legendary resistance, so they'd be able to shrug it off a few times. The smartest thing to do would be to wait until it had burned through its resistance before you try to cast it, otherwise you're wasting an 8th level spell slot. The thing is... since Will seems to have some power over the Upsidedown in terms of turning it into Hawkins, I wonder if "All Friends Welcome" kept Vecna out. Will's choice to return to the house and protect his family, then, would be considered even more of a brave thing to do. I honestly think Hopper just doesn't take his job seriously because nothing really bad happens in Hawkins. And Joyce is a person he went to high school with who would be considered kind of an outsider by the town. Divorced mom who struggles for money, and those two kids who are considered outsiders. Considering Hopper went to war and settled down with his wife in the city, and he's mourning his own child and has PTSD, he probably hates dealing with things with kids, just generally. It's a reminder. And his secretary saying "can't find her son this morning" ...he may have assumed that it was more likely the teenage son ran away than her younger one and that in a couple hours he would come back. I think it's to allow for growth of the character. They're showing us how broken he is, that he comes in hungover, that he deals with a lot of extremely low level annoyance crimes.....so that they can show character growth later as he becomes the incredible detective he is.

Joyce is a single parent working multiple jobs, kids kind of raising themselves, she was judged by all the other parents. Last thing Joyce wanted is people know she doesn’t know where her kid is.

I have noticed something about Hopper, in the first flashback scenes about Sarah in season 1 you see him crying on a set of stairs with grey handrails, now forward to Dr Owens in season 2 in the lab after he's attacked by the demagorgon, he's found by hopper on the SAME stairs. HOPPER was in the lab before with his daughter!!!! No wonder he looked like he knew Owens beforehand. I was shocked when I noticed, ans when you think back, he's not shocked at his findings the body of will, the pumpkins. Made me think 😊

In Season 4 when he’s talking to Enzo and we get the less abbreviated version of Hopper’s back story- he’s talking about going to Vietnam and handling agent Orange without protective gear and when they got back they realized how terrible it had been for them. It wasn’t just some mild pesticide. Some of the guys got really sick, some families ended up with stillborns and Sarah ended up w cancer. He felt awful because he knew about those side effects and still had a baby anyway. I would imagine that because of the CIA connections to what was being done there that when his daughter got sick he took her straight to the place that he knew had made her sick in the first place and maybe where he signed up for that program after he was drafted was Hawkins Lab. Or when the guys started getting sick from the Agent Orange they were all taken to Hawkins Lab to be tested and have physical work-ups, labs and tests run on them ad nauseam; since they were the most knowledgeable of what they were dealing with, he brought her there. That’s what I would think if he was def supposed to be there w her (which I think you’re right about) Or maybe they just used the same stairwell because stairwells look mostly the same and didn’t think people would clock it, but that’s not really their style. It seems like every detail of this show has many histories, meanings and potential futures.

Actor is seen at the official table read video for season 4, however he was never shown in s4 🤔 I have another theory request 😊 whats up with the Library? Im convinced it has some special meaning. In S1 when Nancy was looking for Barb she lied to Barbs parents over the phone that probably shes there reading or smth. Later Nancy saw Barbs look-a-like in a library while sharpening her pencil. When Joyce and Hopper were in the UD looking for Will they saw a human skull (more previous victims?) Then 10 seconds after that Hopper saw Barbs body. Finally Will was there too. And of course at the end of s4 all the 4 cracks met at the library as well. Maybe there are more things about library, but thats all i have so far

The library is Vecna's chosen pre-deternined place for his army of monsters to pour out from & invade Hawkins, & there's a link between Will & Barb & the manifestation of the monsters as they're intentionally left attached to the vines in the Upsidedown in the library. The clocktower at the library links to that in Back to the Future & Doc Brown & hence timetravel....suggesting that that's also going to part of the S5 storyline.

16:35 I think that is because he knows Joyce for a long time, and he could be used to her sometimes crazy and overprotective behaviour, it is possible, that wasn't the first time when she was freaking out, because something unusual happened 22:03 it is possible, that people who were in lab at the time when something come out of the portal were scientist, maybe some of them died, but when they were fighting demogorgon after, they were specialist, maybe some guards because they had to know how to shoot. In this two situations, there were different skills needed, scientist to understand what is going on with portal, and some guards to find El

Most definitely could be the reason why Hopper just didn't believe it. Joyce was also known to have a drinking issue, according to Lonnie in one of his scenes. Very well possible, but it's odd that he acts like he's heard that specifically before, like her son going missing. That's the major thing that's odd to me about that. As for the Gate scene, that is an AMAZING THOUGHT! I didn't really think about the fact that the scientists are in charge of everything, even logically in the very opening scene of the show, it's a scientist that gets attacked. That's extremely interesting now thinking about why did these random men have to come check this out, and who are they exactly. If the original Montauk Project is to be believed, there's a character who is part of the main cast in the 1980s who is unknowingly a time-traveller...having had his memories erased by the Doctors at the lab, after having had their conciousness sent into the past & placed into another body of a young boy. Age regression, soul transference, timetravel, etc are all part of the original Montauk Project which ST is based on.

I can't recall, do we see Jonathan at his season 1 job a single time? Also I'm still riding out the idea that Sarah (Hopper's daughter) is still alive. That Sarah, like Eleven/Jane was taken for experiments. But something you mentioned about time travel got me thinking about the time travel in lost. That they get sent back in time and end up having to work for the organization that harbors all the mysteries. (Dharma, Hawkins lab) If that makes sense.

I may have said this another video you had. I think the it and girl are vecna and el. I think, henry, el and will have communcaited prior to his disappearance. I have thought hopper was a little strange. I do remember when he visited joyce at her job and leaves and magnets fall, how did he make them fall? From being trapped in the upside down. I think Will has the powers like in wrinkle in time, the girl who had to destroy the tezra, unsure on spelling. People can be more powerful than one with an actual power. Hint, i can be your zoomer. Max. I think that will be used and i think Max letters were more than a good bye, more like this was the plan and she knew her friends would be against it. As up until now (S4), I get the feeling that Will knows stuff that he himself doesn't understand how he knows! Like the ST Will comic shows Will in the Upsidedown & just after, revealing that he was actually in the woods & helped Nancy escape the Upsidedown in S1 by distracting the Demogorgan. Will is also shown to have visions of the Upsidedown like in the hospital room. The ST VR Gameplay shows that Vecna was inside of Will's mind all along taunting him! For instance, just before Will coughed up the slug, Vecna is shown in the bathroom mirror & is taunting him! Will is shown to try to evade Vecna by thinking of nice memories, but it's a constant conflict between the pair that we never were shown in the actually series as yet

It's fun to speculate. And I have the final season figured out except for 3 questions. What character is Linda Hamilton playing/how does she tie into the plot? What happens to eleven? I know from filming that Max will be okay. The boys and Max all graduate together...but no sign of Eleven at said graduation. The final scene was filmed with Will. Does he defeat the mindflayer with the help of Max and Eleven? Pretty sure Vekna will be dead and the three of them will have to work together to defeat him. I know from filming that Steve and Dustin make it out of everything okay. No idea about the other older girls.

How awesome would it be to hear Linda Hamilton narrating an apocalyptic Hawkins, just as she did in the Terminator franchise? Most people are guessing Linda to play a future, older version of Eleven, although I've heard other rumours of her being part of the Turnbow Real Estate family, possibly the new kid Derek's mom, or even an evil scientist who possibly replaces Brenner. I think Eleven is set up to die a heroic death due to her exclusion from the Epilogue leaks. Perhaps something similar to S1's finale...but for good this time! As for Will, he's set up to hammer the final blow to the Thesselhydranby casting a fireball, just before Lucas cuts off the multiple heads. The boys will defeat the evil as a group....but Will's action will be key!

I don't want to spoil in for you in you haven't seen in, but something like that in a way happens during that movie. Specifically with the Father, and we know Hopper isn't Will's, Jonesthan's, or technically Eleven's real father. But the Mom is that movie, when something happens to the kid, she blames the dad and says "It was YOU, YOU did this to him!" So if they use that twist involving Hopper & Joyce it would be crazy!!! We see it with Sarah Hopper in a flashback when it appears to be cleaner/less old. Then Hopper sees it in 11’s Lab Room laying on the bed. Then we see it in its worst shape inside of Castle Byers. Given the appearance of it changing, I believe it was originally Sarah’s. When Hopper went into the shed after Will vanished, he looked down at something. I wonder if this was the Lion. He immediately got up and called for a search party. Was the search party actually for Sarah? Has Hopper only been looking for Sarah this whole time?

LOL right! Once I put two and two together with the Will the Wise and the whole aspect of the Owl as a symbol of wisdom, that's when I started realizing it. There are pictures of owls, sounds, wall art, just very RANDOM owl symbols throughout every season lol. It's wild brotha lol. I left it out, but right when Hopper is about to find the bike, if you watch with captions, watch that scene. When you hear Powell yelling for Will in the background. He starts making noises and the captions even saying "hooting sounds" lmfao. Right before that scene ends too, and they are looking into the forest with the bike, listen to that scene right before it ends. That's all I'm hinting at lmfao!

S3 was about Vecna going after Eleven's powers for himself so that he could then open his own gates...which he then did in S4. S3 also showed that the Commies couldn't open a gate in Russia, & so the location of Hawkins is key! S3 also established that Will was still connected to the Hivemind/Mindflayer....& that Vecna chose Billy as an alternative to Will "to build"... The S3 finale also showed that Eleven reaching into Billy's memories powered him to go against the Mindflayer's control....hinting at that S4 Bible verse which states...."Do not be overcome by Evil, but overcome Evil with good"....setting Will up to now take center-stage in S5!

So there is a character kali in stranger things...and was one of the test subjects right so my theory is that kali is a representation of goddess kali (in Hinduism) in ....as Kali Maata is considered a symbol of destruction of false consciousnes , the goddess of time, change, and destruction. So as there are speculations about time travel I think kali can play a major role there . Plus we know that kali can make illusions which contradicts the power of goddess Kali who is considered the destroyer of illusions. Kali mata is often depicted with a fearsome appearance, wearing a garland of skulls and holding weapons which resonates with the fact that kali Prasad of stranger things is also filled with anger to revenge/kill those who caused her pain. So in Hinduism Kali represents the shadow self the part of that we hide from the ( and that is our fears our weakness) n kali of stranger things can create illusions mostly involving someone's fear. I think Kali is more likely to return to ally with Henry in S5 rather than Eleven. Eleven rejected being by Henry's side & so his next best bet would be Kali! In S4, Henry actually mentions Kali to Eleven at the Lab, implying that he knows that she is out there & she could potentially be part of his plan. Like Henry in S4, in S2 Kali actually gives Eleven the same advice in " finding a memory that makes you sad but also angry" to unleash the full extent of her powers....implying that she's more influenced & fixated on revenge & evil like Henry rather than good like Eleven! Kali is also shown to make the mohawk dude see spiders in S2, just as Henry made his mother see spiders in the Creel House bathtub. Brenners crossword describes Kali as "the wife of shiva"....who is the goddess of time! Noah Schnapp was even rumored to have followed the actress who played Kali on social media during shooting for S5! All clues that Kali will return to play some role in ST S5!!!

@@aadhyapant3445 The Shadow particles/Mindflayer remains as the ultimate villain, & so I can see a possible redemption arc for Henry who like Billy in the S3 finale, may turn on the MF & die as a hero. How awesome would it be to see the 3 with powers.....Eleven, Henry & Kali out of the blue join together right at the very end to battle the MF? This while the 4 boys battling the 3headed dragon? & the rest on other missions? All on the same sme battlefield but against different monsters from the army of them Vecna made Nancy see?

I also think Hopper acted super weird in the shed at the Byer's when he looks down at a pile of broken wood and a sleeping bag or something. And the lights are acting crazy when he's in there, too.

@@sashasixx1683 I still wanna know what deal Hopper made with Hawkins Lab in the S1 finale when he was shown to leave the Police Station & then jump into the black limo....which was never really addressed! The boxes Eleven finds of Hoppers, as well as the ST Hopper novel suggests that he has a history of being exposed to the mind control experiments of MK Ultra when he was in Vietnam. He is also said to have been undercover in a cult in New York for a certain case he worked on. Joyce, Hopper & Karen are all shown to have been exposed to Henry Creel during the time of the Creel House murders, & so there's definitely a History there that may be revealed in S5....particularly with Karen! Also came across rumors that Hopper was initially meant to be the protagonist of ST...& not Eleven. The story is his life more than anyone's, & there's no doubt that they kept him alive for a reason & that he'll play a big part in the final battle! ST has a theme of characters dealing with inner conflict & past heartbreak, & so only when that's overcome do they move forward with their lives! Hopper facing his heartbreak & guilt of losing his daughter Sarah is likely to come to the fore again in S5, but this time I think he'll get his happy ending at Enzos lol!

What if it was eleven of season 5 that made sure will vanishes so that the rest of the series progresses as it did so as to make the final battle happen in season 5...because she says i am the monter i opened the gate....which could mean that eleven of season 5 opened the gate so as to defeat vecna...😅 Pls share your thoughts on this.

The original Montauk Project ends with a few at the Lab deciding that due to the risks of timetravel & existence of 2 versions of the same character existing in the same timeline, they needed to end the experiments by getting one of the characters in the Montauk chair to manifest a monster form his conscious into the Lab, which will force everyone to destroy the transmitter once & for all.....which leads to your theory that Eleven manifesting the monster & gate in S1 was intentional & needed to happen for just that reason. David Harbor in an interview did mention that ST will have a very real & final conclusion at that Lab! The latter leaks of S5 show the cast including Max having their final table read at the Lab with their chairs placed in a circle and vines on the wall of Hawkins Lab. Perhaps the show coming "full circle" is more literal than we realize!

looking too far in to Hopper and Joyce. He was shocked and didn't believe Flo because nothing bad happens there. He was surprised to see Joyce cause he was romantically invested in her at one point. I do think will is a # and that he's going to be important in this next season more than the others.
