More to the point about getting rid of Peach. Wily forgot something. Toadsworth. We see from PiT that Toadsworth is not only the defacto King of the Mushroom Kingdom but he is very well respected and liked. Any time Peach is missing it isn't at all impossible to assume that Toadsworth is taking control of the kingdom, assuming Peach isn't kidnapped in her own kingdom. It wouldn't matter if Peach was kidnapped or Off'ed. Toadworth would come into play. And if he was off'ed then the two toads we very often see accompany Toadsworth and Peach when they are together come into play. My point is. If Kamek was controlling things. He'd kill Toadsworth too. Only adding more proof that he isn't in control.

Honestly, I have a theory that all of this is basically running on a mix of "Loony Tunes as Actors" and "A reenactment of old stories logic". This theory would honestly help explain too much with all of Nintendo's logic with all of their games and would throw the entire point of logic into Nintendo's control. They can just say that some shows that they performed or enacted are canon to the overall story, that some details were correct or incorrect, or that they changed their mind on how to present Paper Mario itself. They could justify any decision as "just another show." Nintendo, with this minor in universe explanation, could justify anything and all that fans could say is that either everything portrayed in every single moment of Mario is true, or it is all false. Either way, it does not matter because at the end of the day what Nintendo provides with Mario as its core selling is accessible gameplay first, story and set dressing second. This would basically make everything everyone has ever theorized about Mario to be in a questionable state of canonicity flux and make Timelines pointless.

Personally. I like the idea of Bowser only being bad thanks to Kamek. However we're talking about another world Bowser where he is raised by someone else. Perhaps the Yoshi's find him and raise him? Or something of that like.

Yeah sure, Bowser is bad because he was raised by Kamek, who is evil, what annoys me is that so many people say he ISN'T evil because of that, so what if he was raised by a bad person? He's an ADULT NOW, if he didn't want to be evil then he'd stop, and Kamek wouldn't stop him, Bowser yells at Kamek like he yells at any other of his minions in paper jam bros and Kamek got scared, so yes, Kamek is just another minion to Bowser- one who was with him since he was a baby,but still just a servant who does what his boss tells him to do, and he LOVES and worships their leader like all the other minions of Bowser's troops, if Bowser turned good, Kamek might not appreciate, but he'd follow along anyway due to his loyalty to Bowser, so no, Kamek isn't the reason that ADULT Bowser tried to destroy the gosh darn UNIVERSE and recreate his own in Mario Galaxy, Kamek isn't the reason ADULT Bowser wanted to use the dream stone to take over the world, Kamek isn't the reason ADULT Bowser wants to force peach into marrying him, Bowser is AN ADULT NOW, while you can excuse baby Bowser's behaviour due to being in Kamek's care, YOU CAN'T EXCUSE THE ACTIONS OF AN ADULT by saying "It's his dad's fault" when Bowser ORDERS KAMEK AROUND anyway.

That's because Mario 3 both is and is *not* a stageplay. Yes, the version that we see in the real Super Mario Bros 3 game is indeed a stageplay, but there's actually a lot of evidence to say that it was a real event that happened in Mario's world as well.

It doesn't matter if there's evidence he can control that. What matters is that Wily said he did it and it's illogical. Neither Wily nor I were taking into consideration outside factors like inability to control one's powers to the highest degree (although Kamek should definitely be able to considering he's the most powerful Magikoopa in existence)

Let me first state that the _Mario & Luigi_ and the _Paper Mario_ Worlds are from a completely different Continuity than the Mainline Games - some of these games are further separated as the 'AlphaDream Universe', named after the Development Team that created these games in Nintendo's stead. It's akin to the Archie Comics run of Sonic the Hedgehog as an extension of the Saturday Morning Cartoon series, which itself isn't in the same Continuity as the games. I make this statement because the Majority of Kamek's Character Development comes from these Continuities. In terms of the Main Mario Titles, Kamek is only known as being Bowser's long-time Caretaker, supposedly also being his Father's Advisor at least, if not _their_ Caretaker as well. This means that Kamek is extremely old, which isn't that surprising considering the long lifespan of Real-Life Terrapins. The remaining info comes from Spin-off titles like Mario Party, that are dubious in canonicity at best... In the AlphaDream Continuity however, we've gotten much more insight into Kamek's Life as Bowser's Caretaker and Advisor, especially in the most recent titles... We know for sure that he's *never* had any actual Control over Bowser, neither before or after coming of age: Bowser doesn't listen to any of Kamek's advice; he is constantly threatening Kamek with violence (though we don't really get to see these threats coming to pass); and Kamek generally gets treated just like any other Minion in Bowser's Army. If anything, the thing that Kamek has that others don't is Bowser's *Respect.* He's put up with everything Bowser's dished out at him, and diligently raised him into the Majesty his Father envisioned him to be - this is why Kamek is entrusted with grooming Bowser Jr., his own Heir to the Throne, into a similar mold to continue the Legacy... The Yoshi's Island series of games are the primary source of information on Kamek as a Character in the Main Mario Continuity, with his appearances in other entries being rather generic 'non-speaking crafty magician' roles. The most recent game in the Yoshi series, _Yoshi's Crafted World,_ pretty much just elaborates on the known dynamic between him and Bowser's younger self, Bowser being a whiny, impulsive, uncontrollable and inconsolable spoiled brat, who'll attack anyone who doesn't do everything he says immediately. Kamek however has plenty of experience in sweet-talking His Bossiness to avoid his wrath, and can satisfy many of the child's more outrageous demands with his Magic, as a literal means of Survival. There is absolutely nothing to imply that Kamek has any actual Authority over the Prince of the Koopas outside of being a Nanny to the ungrateful child!

I disagree, Mario doesn't HAVE any canon, you cannot just say "these aren't part of the mainline" Mario doesn't have any timeline,mainline,or canon at all,therefore unless you can PROVE the games aren't canon, they are.

@@cbfranco3307 The AlphaDream Games are non-canon not because they contradict anything, but rather because Nintendo stopped supporting them. _However..._ ...Nintendo's Remasters of SuperStar Saga and Bowser's Inside Story bring those two Stories back into Continuity! As for _where_ in said continuity the games lie, I believe that the existence of *Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam* would fit it firmly into the same Universe as the Paper Mario Games - which is a seperate Continuity to the Mainline Mario Titles! Because of this, everything outside of the Yoshi's Island games can only be considered _circumstantial_ evidence to Kamek's character. But with the games being Second-Party Nintendo Titles, that evidence is still viable as long as it doesn't conflict with Nintendo's Mainline Games. Heck, technically the _Yoshi_ Games could be considered outside of the Mainline Continuity because they use a Storybook-Style Format - while it _could be,_ I cannot consider that to be the case due to possibly being a Historical Retelling...

@@cbfranco3307 Because the _Paper Mario_ World was depicted as being within the *Nintendo-created* rendition of the _Mario & Luigi_ World! As for evidence that these two Franchises happen within a seperate Continuity to the Mainline Mario Titles: the fact that while Characters and Items from the Mainline games get used in the RPG Games, yet the opposite has never happened is the best I have. It's not much, but it says a fair bit about what Nintendo wants to keep within the RPG Titles only...
