Actually it's not the drive that made Endgame win the pushing match. Them have less than a half of Sawblaze's HP. The thing here's because of its ground advantage de balanced The Champ, compromising its traction. You can easily spot it by looking how Sawblaze started to bounce while trying to push Endgame in the second half of the match instead of hanging on the floor as in the first half.

And when it loses it's usually when it's being completely taken apart.

This just proves, once again, why these finale battles should be 2-3 minutes longer than the rest. They would never do it for budget and time reasons, along with many other obvious reasons, but someone brought up the idea of having a best out of 3 where it's a 1 minute battle, a 3 minute battle, and a 5-6 minute battle with 2-3 versions of their bots in a finals, to properly judge each aspect of their bots that can counter some lopsided strengths and weaknesses in certain areas against their competition to see who's truly the best, and it's honestly not a bad idea.

@tomo_3856 ай бұрын
Bite Force exists, the bot has won 3 Giant Nuts, 2 of them with a vertical spinner. The only horizontal spinner who has won the Giant Nut is Tombstone, all other bots who won the championship since the 2015 reboot had vertical bar, disk, saw or drum spinners. Also, vertical spinners are the strongest and most reliable spinning weapons as they can throw bots upwards instead of sideways from horizontal spinners and are extremely hard to stop working due to their thickness and resilience from dealing damage to other bots and damage dealt to itself. There have been many occasions when Tombstone's spinning bar snapped or its own weapon proved to be its downfall. The only thing you've gotten right is that the show hasn't changed much in the variety of bots. Vertical spinners still remain the best, but technology in many of the bots has increased drastically.

Heck was that a split decision? The scoring is on three catagories - damage, agression and control. Damage: This one's an absolute no brainer - Sawblaze didn't even really scratch the paint of Endgame and took multiple massive hits. This category is also scored on primary weapon hits...which Sawblaze got practically none of. Agression: Sawblaze did try a few aggressive attempts at the start but the second half of the battle felt far more like it was struggling to survive. On the other hand, Endgame remained on the offensive the entire time. Control: In every encounter, Endgame was either in an acceptable defensive position or a powerful offensive position. It easily moved Sawblaze across the entire field and never looked in any danger whatsoever. Any guesses as to what Judge Derek was thinking?

No way that should have been a split decision. Easy win by End Game.
@wristofkings Жыл бұрын
Knowing about the unstick I can understand why this decision was split. Sawblaze was winning most of the early exchanges, but you can tell that right around 1:10 to about 1:38, one of End Game's forks had been jammed through the cutout for Sawblaze's flamethrower and the barbed end making it near impossible for the bots to pull each other apart. After the unstick, Jammo lost most of his momentum and End Game dominated, but neither bot dealt enough damage to disable key components (though Sawblaze's forks looked pretty mangled). It's still kind of a leap on Derek Young's part to assert that Sawblaze was winning. All and all, that was a weird Top 8. Lots of random malfunctions and seeding that pretty much ensured that this final was going to happen and yet another 4WD vertical spinner walks away with hardware. Personally I hope they either alter the Champions format to add gatekeepers again (Shreddit Bro, Jackpot, Whiplash, RIPperoni, Free Shipping) or make the Giant Nut winners run the gauntlet with everyone else, no more byes virtually guaranteeing that a previous champion wins the Golden Bolt.

IT'S ROBOT FIGHTIN' TIME
@pan9453 Жыл бұрын
I know everyone isn’t really a big fan of ‘long forks’ but mainly the purpose of having them is obviously winning the ‘ground’ game. If you’re facing an opponent with forks and you don’t have forks you would probably get wrecked (unless you have some kind of ‘pure skill’). If I remember correctly, the first robot that introduced ‘wedgelets or long forks’ was probably Bronco from 2015 where it had its match against Tombstone (okay I know Bronco did not have forks but you can get the idea of how long that front attachment was). The teams did not care about forks back in those years until 2019 or maybe 2020 they appeared outta nowhere???? Idk I might be wrong though.
