our bulls are in basketball purgatory. we need to let go of demar and zach as much as i love them they don’t fit our timeline and are only causing us to be a 11, 12, 13 pick every year. id rather be one of the worst teams in the league and be able to look forward to the draft than have the most exciting part of our season be if we can win a game or not in the play in tourney

already can tell he doesn’t know ball 3 minutes in.. there’s a reason for every trade, sarr wants to play the 4 and bilal is at the 3 both who’s younger with a way higher ceiling we don’t have room for deni anymore he would take our young guys much needed playing time and he’s already peaking so we’d rather sell high then hold onto him until he drops. not to mention he averaged 15 7 and 4 on a 15 win team. he’s not a 2nd or even 3rd option on a winning team

He was option #1 in wizards since they changed coach, 20.5-10.0-4.5 . You clearly never watched him play, he's a home grown player, get along with everyone, locker room glue, and on top of that he's one of the only players in the world who actually love being in DC.

One addition to why the trade makes sense for the Spurs: by not drafting at #8 they also save themselves a really good amount of money (6+ mil) that can go towards a more prominent trade or free agent acquisition. As a Spurs fan I am confused on sacrificing the #8 pick. It is not I am disappointed for not taking Dillingham, but rather I am bummed with acquiring 1st picks that is still deemed unknown. I wouldn't have been that disappointed if they traded for 1st picks in '26-'28 range, but '30 & '31 is waaaay too far to assess on. The only sensible reason I can think of doing this is they will use these picks as assets to acquire a co-star for next year.

Its a great move by the spurs. They acquire more assets. Many says this draft is weak. Getting 1 unprotected pick and top 1 protected swap has great value. Are the spurs use that pick up select rookies? Or are they going to use that to trade stars? It offers flexibility and value. Also think for about the roster spot. Don't just talk based on what happen. Consider everything about the trade.

He and Ant will either get along swimmingly and be a formidable duo, or Dillingham won't pan out. He has not shown that he is an elite enough talent to be THE lead guard of an NBA team. ANT is substantially better. It was a weak draft class. Remember how hyped everyone was about Scoot? Scoot is much, much better than Dillingham. He's tiny, can't play defense, and struggled to finish against college bigs. Love his confidence, but he thinks he's Kyrie and he's not (I'm a Wolves fan in MN - I think he could add a nice offensive jolt, but he's not our savior for our offensive woes).

I don't get the love for the Blazers. Trading two firsts, Brogdon, and change for Avdija seems like a lot. When you factor in that Brogdon can probably get you a first in trade it looks like three firsts for a guy with a 0.6 VORP last year and negative VORP two of the three years prior (with a +0.1 the other year). Washington did well to get so much for someone so inconsequential to their rebuild. Getting Clingan at 7 was nice for sure, but don't like that trade with Washington at all.

2 first round pick and 2 second round picks is quite a haul for Deni...(The contract of Avdija is one of the best in the NBA though) They got more than twice what they got for Rui
