Than had long stretch of mediocrity. Now they have finally turned the corner. Only took being in the 2nd apron of the luxury tax.

already can tell he doesn’t know ball 3 minutes in.. there’s a reason for every trade, sarr wants to play the 4 and bilal is at the 3 both who’s younger with a way higher ceiling we don’t have room for deni anymore he would take our young guys much needed playing time and he’s already peaking so we’d rather sell high then hold onto him until he drops. not to mention he averaged 15 7 and 4 on a 15 win team. he’s not a 2nd or even 3rd option on a winning team

@@modax0 this is the problem when you build connections with players, you develop clouded judgement that’s clearly bias. you can’t say i’ve never watched him play when i literally said he was peaking and we sold him high clearly meaning i acknowledge he was becoming a really good player but you’re disregarding the part where we are in a REBUILD. deni is at that point he’s becoming a win now player and could really benefit a contending team. he just doesn’t fit our timeline and we would waste his career.. it would be another version of bradley beal all over again. can’t have a rebuild without change

Deni is a great team player but he had all last season to take over, kuzma cooled off and poole was inefficient. Lastly if Bradly Beal could only get us 4 2nd round picks and Deni goes for basically 2 firsts 2 seconds and Malcom brogden you best believe I’m feeling great about the wizards.

One addition to why the trade makes sense for the Spurs: by not drafting at #8 they also save themselves a really good amount of money (6+ mil) that can go towards a more prominent trade or free agent acquisition. Though I find it sad for Dillingham he can't play for SA despite him shouting from the rooftops he wanted to, I really don't mind the trade

Bam is starting to transition into play as PF. Miami needed size & athleticism. Kel'el Ware's ceiling is higher than Knecht. And Miami drafting Larrson at #43 didn't lose much from Knecht slipping to #17. They also still have Herro, so it doesn't make sense to draft Knecht.

As a Spurs fan I am confused on sacrificing the #8 pick. It is not I am disappointed for not taking Dillingham, but rather I am bummed with acquiring 1st picks that is still deemed unknown. I wouldn't have been that disappointed if they traded for 1st picks in '26-'28 range, but '30 & '31 is waaaay too far to assess on. The only sensible reason I can think of doing this is they will use these picks as assets to acquire a co-star for next year.

Its a great move by the spurs. They acquire more assets. Many says this draft is weak. Getting 1 unprotected pick and top 1 protected swap has great value. Are the spurs use that pick up select rookies? Or are they going to use that to trade stars? It offers flexibility and value. Also think for about the roster spot. Don't just talk based on what happen. Consider everything about the trade.

He and Ant will either get along swimmingly and be a formidable duo, or Dillingham won't pan out. He has not shown that he is an elite enough talent to be THE lead guard of an NBA team. ANT is substantially better. It was a weak draft class. Remember how hyped everyone was about Scoot? Scoot is much, much better than Dillingham. He's tiny, can't play defense, and struggled to finish against college bigs. Love his confidence, but he thinks he's Kyrie and he's not (I'm a Wolves fan in MN - I think he could add a nice offensive jolt, but he's not our savior for our offensive woes).

I don't get the love for the Blazers. Trading two firsts, Brogdon, and change for Avdija seems like a lot. When you factor in that Brogdon can probably get you a first in trade it looks like three firsts for a guy with a 0.6 VORP last year and negative VORP two of the three years prior (with a +0.1 the other year). Washington did well to get so much for someone so inconsequential to their rebuild. Getting Clingan at 7 was nice for sure, but don't like that trade with Washington at all.
