@@arlenterrell1036 there’s only ~40 NBA spots for a player who will try to score 30 a game. But a guy who defends, doesn’t chuck up bad shots, and plays within the system? Thats 70% of all roster spots. Bronny getting drafted higher by other teams was also such a high possibility, his Agent/Uncle pulled a Larry Bird and said he would only play for 1 team, so don’t waste your pick. Plus, as a late 2nd round pick whose contract maxes out at $7mil over 4yrs. *The Lakers, the NBA, and LeBron & Bronny (through merch sales) will milk it for hundreds of millions in total profits* just for the historic first time they play together. @JeremyGraczyk4 ай бұрын
@@nolanneals2568 That doesn't mean you can't call it out. And this is well beyond normal nepotism. Does LeBron own the Lakers? Does LeBron manage the Lakers? When a company CEO hires their own kid for a lucrative job, everyone knows it's BS but there's nothing you can do. But when an employee forces a manager to hire their kid - either because they're friends with the manager or have something on them - over someone who is more qualified, _that person almost always gets way more hate_ than in the former example. What makes this even worse is LeBron's constant lying about the whole situation. Last year when he was angry the Lakers weren't playing well, he said 4.8 PPG scorer Bronny could start on the Lakers and do better than his own teammates. It's been how many years that LeBron has said he desperately wants to play with his son, but then tries to lie and say he doesn't care so that no other team drafts Bronny. Then he gets sycophant Rich Paul _to threaten_ other teams not to draft him, even though he said he doesn't care - heck, he said he might not even stay with the Lakers even if they draft Bronny!! (Suuuuuuure he won't) It's not just that it's a nepotism hire. It's the fact that LeBron, a fellow employee on the Lakers, bullied and strong-armed his way into getting his undeserving son picked. Not for the benefit of the Lakers or their fans, but for his own selfish reasons. Just another example of LeBron being the most selfish person, biggest liar and biggest drama queen media w****** ever to play the game

I am not going to pretend that the last two nights had a draft class with the kind of talent that makes you want to watch the draft, it didn't. I am sure it took away from the general excitement of the draft. I also think this was the worst possible draft class to begin the two night format with. With that said if the NBA wants to make the draft a multiple day event like the NFL they need to change several things starting with reconsidering the date of the draft. I am sorry but trying to figure out which team the player is actually going to is a confusing mess. Not to mention the stupidity of having a draft pick walk on stage with a hat & jersey to take a photo for a team arent actually playing for is such a waste of that kid's big moment. I think the NBA needs start the new league year then hold the draft so trades are official then have free agency. Or they should start the new league year, have free agency begin then hold the draft something that really makes the draft interesting. This way when a guy is drafted you actually know what team he is going to play for and how he factors/fits into the team's existing roster. My last point about the draft. I really think the Bronny James situation proved there is clearly a diminished sense of competition in today's NBA. There is too much friendship, too much rolling over, too much emphasis business & not enough organizational identity. There is no way in any other era of NBA competition teams wouldn't have tried to F up the Lakers plans period. If there was even a miniscule amount of truth to reports that an agent threatened any team who dared to draft Bronny in those other eras the only way father & son would have played together it would have been on the shady acres retirement home pick up league. It would have taken that long because that is how dedicated teams would have been to making sure they never played together after being threatened. There is no way the Pistons, Lakers, Knicks, Celtics, Jazz or any other team that hated the Bulls would have let Michael Jordan kid end up on their roster. No team would have allowed Wilt, Russell, Bird , Magic, Kareem, Doctor J, Malone Barkley, West, Baylor, Ewing or any other star of decades past would get to play with their kid simply because that is what they wanted. There would have been a tax, a steep price and any number of obstacles put in the way of that wish because the only team that mattered was your own and there was no quarter given to cute stunts. The Bronny James being available at 55 for his dad's Lakers really felt like a soap opera plot, a fairytale or WWE storyline rather than a life long accomplishment. With saying that I am not diminishing Bronny getting to the NBA that is an accomplishment even if he never is a factor or critical player on a roster. It is a dream realized that his dad turned into a manufactured moment nevertheless. Honestly if Rich Paul did what was alleged in any other era he would be made to pay for those threats. Nowadays with Adam Silver he won't even bother to act like a form tampering took place. He seems content with a league where defense is non existent, competition is secondary to storylines & the worst player on a roster gets paid more than top stars in other sports.

First off, there needs to be an investigation into this. That's not the proper way to conduct business. That Agent ought to be Sacked so to speak if indeed he said that. That could give other Agents the idea that eg if Charlotte had the number one pick and the Agent says his Client is going to play in Europe if you draft him. Charlotte will think twice about Drafting him. His Client might just want to play for the Lakers, Knicks, Boston, Chicago or Miami. The league would become a 5 team Association. That's no fun.

Bronny sounds so much like his dad it is going to be confusing when they both ask for the ball.

Bro the Celtics Storyline is way to hilarious. „We hold Bronny hostage until you give us Austin Reaves“. All in all the whole Bronny-Bron Situation is so absurd lmao

Tired of the 3% in players. FG% is better...thats all that should matter. This 3pt narrative is dumb

Meanwhile the Pacers somehow ended up w the actual best shooter in the draft, a chocolate TJ McConnell and a guy who could end up being the reincarnation of Scottie Pippen while not even having a first. Lol.
