So I go down to Kerr every Summer in July, my in laws own a lake house down there. I struggle every time out there, still learning how the fish set up. You have any tips for fishing Kerr? I did better than I normally do this past summer but the water level was up like 6-9 feet

I have my magnetic cast control right In the middle between less and more on Abu Garcia so would probably be a 5 on other brands. I just have my cast control the same as if I was casting it it normally. Some people have different preferences tho

hey man what persuaded you to getting a ranger aluminum opposed to a glass. Me and my father are torn between. How is stability on your rig

Honestly I'm a big Aluminum guy. Easier to pull and can fish much skinnier water. The stability of this boat is incredible. I dare say it's much more stabil than all my buddies 18.5ft glass boats and the front deck is massive

Started watching your videos today. They’re great, keep making them. But man you set the hook way too early on top water. When they came up and grab it I rush of water goes in with it. Gotta let them close their mouth, they won’t spit it out, count to two and then set the hook like you life depends on it.

I tend to set the hook a little quick but I actually throw my frog on a 7ft Medium action rod to counteract it. I catch hundreds of fish every year on a frog on this river system and they eat it deep and spit it quick if you dont hit them. It's the same with flipping. All the lakes around me you have to let them have it longer. It's weird. As for anything with trebles I just slowly pull into them. But no matter what the excitement will get to ya every once in a while
