@@FuelAirSparkTime to me it’s a small but important distinction. 77 billion in profit implies excessive greed. While 77 billion in revenue minus billions in operating expenses brings it down into normal profit margin ranges when compared to other industries. Mixing revenue with profit is a subtle way news reporting can imply corporate greed when in reality they have normal profit margins. I’m not saying corporate greed didn’t still happen, it probably did, but it just always bugs me when revenue and profit are used interchangeably because it can be misleading, that’s all.

@@rhards F-15EX and F-18E/F Super hornets both still have production lines open and are in active procurement by the USAF and USN respectively. They aren't going to give up those production lines either as we're going into a global conflict that will result in airframe losses. F-22 production is not an option and F-35's are being produced as fast as they can. Only thing that can be scaled back up are F-15 and F-18 production. And with the Superhornets now carrying air launched SM-6's they aren't going anywhere.

We just had 6 military jets fly over our neighborhood. First four, then 2, in tight formation. No air shows in the area. This is unusual, never happens. We do have some small civilian airports in the area and an international Airport with an air reserve station there. Any good sites for tracking military aircraft? Did not come up on the sites I was looking at.
