Here is the key difference between the first and second event. The SS let the first one get the first shot, but shot at the second one first. From an operational view point, that strongly indicates that the first event went as planned on the SS side, while also indicating that they were not involved in the planning of the second event. Additionally the first shooter had his social media scrubbed almost before the incident, but the second shooter was available for long enough that we pretty much know his motivation and what sort of identity to present to him if you wanted to spin him up and get him to do what you wanted.

The USSS made a big deal about the golf outing not being on the published schedule, which doesn't mean much considering.

With Trump’s busy schedule, the likelihood of simply making a lucky guess as to the exact day and location of this golf outing is extremely improbable.

Excellent info as always and great analysis that the shooter was allowed to get in range. Some people think that 300 Meters is a long shot. Its a cake walk on a range or a golf course. I ran a sniper squad in the Army and ran a sniper school for an organization called NESPAC. On a demo for the police, to show the importance of body position and natural point of aim etc., I had a guy site in at 600 M. Blindfolded him and had him shoot at a man sized target. Aways hits, not bullseyes, but generally center mass
