I always enjoyed the subtle ways the wire would tell the story of particular characters to give you a outlook on what would become their eventual end. This is one of those scenes subtle but signs of things to come. D'Angelo as a character always demonstrated he wasn't like the rest of the Barksdale crew. Barksdale crew were strict discipline always kept things seen never heard. D'Angelo walks in a ask a blatant incriminating question "where does it all go" lol why the hell would you ask that? It's an interesting point on entertainment. I'd say there has been an appreciable shift toward higher quality entertainment in the last few years. I think people became tired of the old model of free programming but having to sit through hours of advertisements, they would rather spend $10 a month on a subscription for good quality content. Food, it's debatable, and I reckon depends on how you define 'quality'- McDonalds is bad for you, but tastes good and is consistent, people will always come back for more.

I always figured they usually got anywhere from 1000-1500 from the pit, so D brining in 2200-2400 (not even check day) really impressed Stringer.

Stringer hated on d so damn much, in reality D was that family member who's next in line for the throne. It's a family biz at the end of the day. Like prince harry, he didn't want the throne tho

So String basically believed in season 1 the complete opposite of season 3 String. Season one Stringer: territory matters not the quality of the Dope. Season 3 Stringer: territory doesn't matter, it's the product that does

Why spike heroin with caffeine? Wouldnt that kind of negate the depressant effects of the drug?
@judeak24422 жыл бұрын
He’s talking about using adulterants to create a different kind of effect to make the product seem slightly different. Heroin is a very strong depressant. Meth is a very strong stimulant. Combine the two you get speed balling. Good question though.

People talking bout stringer bonus was cheap but avon was cheap too when he came to the pit think he said he gave weebay like 2k on the hit for brandon and like $500 for lookout. Pearlman claimed they was pulling in like 20 or 50 mill a year.

@joshradcliffe85634 жыл бұрын
Haha true, then again I had been assuming it was $24,000 they had taken in (which would be around 2,400 deals- a lot in a day), it was probably $2,400 as others have pointed out. So, when you take out the cost of the drug, probably $1,000 or so to the Barksdales, and then the wages of the crew it makes a bit more sense that he would only give D a couple of hundred.
