In this first episode, Klaus tells the story of how he first met Dany and also how Henry, an ugly duckling who fled to the forest in search of his true family, managed to save Dany and two children from the evil hands of the trolls.

My childhood right here. Every Wednesday on Children's ITV around 4.15 c.1989 I get a tad a bit emotional hearing both opening and closing themes again. The amount of money they would have made releasing them as a Double A-side single. They did release the soundtrack album but it's in Spanish.

I wonder if they aired it in the U.S - I know we used to get, on Nickelodeon, The World of David the Gnome, but don't know if we got this series too, or not. Either way, I find it just awesome, both in quality, and that they uploaded all these episodes to KZbin.

Is this a direct sequel of David The Gnome? I believe this takes place after David's death.

What's with the futuristic beeping sounds at the start of the episode? This is a 1980's children's cartoon about Gnomes living in the forest.

Question, was this show done by an anime cartoon company? I've noticed the characters seem to do the thing of overuse of words and the tone of their voice doesn't change like in so many other anime cartoons I've seen.

The Animation for this Series was made by Taiwanese (actually Taiwanese) studio "Wang Film Productions". en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wang_Film_Productions

@@kacmac2340 I figure it was Wang Film/Cuckoo's Nest. BRB stopped using Nippon Animation in Japan after Willy Fog and went to Taiwan for their later shows.
