I’ve got this set for Christmas. Is it possible to magnetise the choice of heads do you think? I’ve not had a good look at the model properly yet.

You’ll have lots of fun painting it up :D I believe it would be possible to magnetise the options. I’m unsure exactly if it would work, but I think it would :) let me know if you manage! :D

Hi, by the time you read this, I assume you have already assembled yours, but magnetizing it would be a bit difficult, you'll need small magnets, like 2mm, 1mm if that exist, and some green stuff to put the magnet on because for instance, the body is hollow. What I did instead is using this hollow body as a mortise and carving a tenon in a bit of sprue that I glued on each head for both on foot and mounted versions. I also made it possible to switch the arm of the version on foot; for that I drilled small holes in the hands and the arm, and glued a bit of iron wire (paper clip I suppose) as a tenon in each hand, they would then fit in the arm depending whether I feel like chasing hobbits or roaming the Pelennor field :)

I really don't like the movie witch king he kind of looks like an evil statue of liberty to me with that ridiculous crown and helm and oversized flail, I preferred the original John Howe version in his artwork with the smaller mace and helm.

Yeah I can understand that. I suppose it was just another one of the liberties Jackson took when making the film 🤷‍♂️ even though it might not be the best design choice, you gotta admit GW knocked it out the park with the sculpting at least :)
