Even though I love a BOS with heavy art and imagery, this in my opinion is a true BOS. Some that I've seen have very little writing/instructions which I feel is not a great source of reference and guidance. What a masterpiece you have created. Something to truly pass down for generations!

honestly, ive seen alot of prettier more creative books, but i think yours is the most magickal. i could feel the magick in it as i was watching, like hazel below, i agree- its a pleasure to see how a book as grown as its owner as grown over time. your BOS is actually a reflection into your soul. people forget that, thank you for sharing and making this video.

Your BoS is amazing! I'm just starting a small one, and its just a hardcover notebook! Very jealous of how organized yours is.

Just found this video. I have always known I’ve been a witch. I never felt called to have a book of shadows until the past six months. Call me a late bloomer. Your video makes so much sense on organization. Thank you

I'm so glad I came upon this, I spent some of my Christmas recess sorting through various things I had tucked away. I had many loose papers I've written about my metaphysical interests, research, Printouts, Also dreams and messages. I had a small binder with some metaphysical research papers, mainly The Elder Futhark Runes. I liked the binder you show in this, so I bought one like it. Like the clear pockets so I can insert my own cover. The process of sorting through these papers and deciding what I want to put in my new book has been helpful in making decisions about what resonates with me.

Hello Lady Amythyst. This made me work on my book again! Greetings Sam.

So wonderful to see a book that's grown over time. So many BOS videos seem to show a big book that the owner tries to fill out all at once. While I understand the excitement, it always seems a little boring to me, I'm more interested in seeing a reflection of the growth of the practitioner, and your book certainly shows that. Thank you for sharing!

This was wonderful!! I've recently started handwriting my BoS on parchment paper (archival quality, because I'm a scrapbook nerd and use page protectors) and looking to use scrapbooks for my BoS. I will probably use two, because I see your huge one and think, "How does she carry that around? " :) Lots of ideas! Thanks and many blessings!

This is a wonderful book. The absolute best part was the story about the 4 leaf clovers. I hope you include the printed story in your book because it is precious. Clicked like. Will look for more of your videos.
@AmythystRaine6 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I paused when I came to the clover because I was thinking, "My god, these things are OLD!", and I was trying to do the math in my head to figure out how old they were... I've had those four-leaf clovers for 49 years.

OH MY GODDESSS, i had that same warning in an old book of shadows YEARS ago. I just started a new one and am so glad to have re discovered it!! Thank you so much for sharing this video with us :)
@AmythystRaine8 жыл бұрын
lol! Although this is not an original, and I like to put my own thoughts to most things, this warning pretty much sums it up perfectly-- "don't touch my shit!" I'm glad you connected!

Amythyst Raine, We used to carry a Composition notebook with us in our "partying" days. It very much resembled a BOS, just without the "witchy" stuff. Believe it or not, somebody stole it. We did eventually get it back. Some people just can't keep their hands off. And the kicker was, it was free to read & peruse by just asking. (Many people I don't even know have written in these books.) Wish I had that warning for it at the time, so it is definitely going in my new Grimoire.

Wow!! What a wounderful book. It's so refreshing to see more info in a book, that is from the heart & not just print & paste in. Would it be alright to ask if you would show & talk about the herbal code more? My great grandmother would say thing like; "I need guts of glodstick, & eyes of love".
@AmythystRaine6 жыл бұрын
Hi, Brenda! If you're looking for a list of "old time weird names for herbs" you will find one in the back of Scott Cunningham's iconic book, "Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs". This section is titled, "Folk Names Cross-Reference" and starts on page 289. You'll find this book at Amazon.

Amythyst Raine, that is wonderful & important; a true lost art these days. I have terrible handwriting in my opinion. I also noticed, from reading my older journals, that it has gotten worse; something I really need to work on. I think it's our fast-paced world makes us do everything faster, hence my writing has gotten sloppier.

have you ever thought about screw-binding it and turning it into an actual book vs a binder when it's complete? cause i'm considering starting a binder bos like this and then turning it into a screw-bound book once i'm done with it. but idk if that would be a good idea...

Create a platform for yourself on the internet through a blog, website, Twitter, Google, etc. Create a Facebook page to put yourself out there. Write a book-- and get it published with a strong company (There's nothing wrong with self-publishing, but let's be honest, you have more clout when you've been published by a good company with a stellar reputation, and it's so much easier to let your publicist and publishing company handle promotions and sales!)
@bigtime32277 жыл бұрын
Amythyst Raine Wow your amazing, well ofcoures you're a witch (a women full of knowledge) I just really, really, really wish you would be like my momager or something great like that,because why I just literally just lost my Mother , but I'd lost my father as well way long ago I believe I was only like 9 or 10yrs . so that's that basically I lost all of my left path people while I was still too young to learn it better but I've been picking my self out alot and ofcourse returning back to what I know best witchcraft . I been doing lots of spells with great coraspondes. got my library back. If I only had some guidance, from someone like yourself wise and experienced.let me know what you think o.k. no hard feelings promise, blessed be!!!
