Curiously king Demavend of Aedirn, son of Virfuril is portrayed somewhat differently in books. He has this mean, cruel streak (he was the first to propose the 'pacify' the Elves of Dol Blathanna on the secret council kings of Northern Realm held in Hagge castle, he also told other kings how he had some nut preacher captured and tortured because of some insane babbling thinking he may be one of the nilfgaardian paid emissaries to rouse chaos in the kingdoms), but also is shown very competent ruler, and Aedirn was quite prosperous realm (until Nilfgaard conquered and plundered it to the smallest thing of value, enslaving it's people selling them as slaves). In book one female character even notes that Demavend is handsome, so it's kind of different from what we see in this awesome intro :) (though when we first meet him in books, he also is seen drinking, though not the only one hehe). When it comes to kings in Witcher world there are few we can call 'good' in any sense (though kings Ethain of Cidaris and Venzlav of Brugge were considered very decent and benevolent rulers). Foltest really did love his sister though, Vizimir of Redania (father of Radovid) was viewed as just and competent, king Esterad Thyssen of Kovir and Poviss was definitely one of the more impressive kings, though also as is usual for this world, there's a load of very corrupt ones, real scum :). That's your daily dose of witcher lore :).

Every school of Witchers was a bit different and focused on different things. Viper school (although existing only in the game) was supposed to be most "flowing" or "liquid" moving of them all. There is even that letter where one of the viper witchers write that Geralt's moves amuse him, even if still as effective as he was.

Ive always loved how they did lethos physique in this game. Most assassin tropes are conveyed with skinny athletic physiques that seem really acrobatic but letho just straight looks like a fucking force to be reckoned with and his method of assassination is never sneaky its just jump into the room and kill the king hes so big its not like anyones gonna stop him the best you can do is watch.

For those of you who are still confused about the assassination plot in Witcher 2: The Lodge of Sorceresses did hire Letho to kill king Demavend (the guy in the trailer) for their own plans, but what they didn't know what that Letho was already hired by Emperor Emhyr to kill as many northern kings as possible to destabilize them for an invasion (the war you see in Witcher 3) in return for restoring the Witcher School of the Viper. The deal with the Lodge worked out pretty because Emhyr could have the blame shifted to them for all of the assassinations instead of him

Easily one of my most favorite intros. It's just animated BEAUTIFULLY, I mean, just take a look at 2:45, even the arrow wobble looks so good. Letho's character here is also so devilish. Right around at the same time, look at Letho's face as he easily dodged this archer's arrow. The archer was even shown to be a good one at the beginning at that. He wastes *NO* time to do his job, no dialogue, and no wasted movement. One fatal and precise blow each. Highlights just how much power Geralt has to beat this dude.

Killed his ass always. In some of my multiple replays, I've thought of sparing his life so that I can do his quest in TW3, but I never could bring myself to do it. The guy killed multiple kings, put the whole northern realm in chaos, turned me into a wanted man, beat up and kidnapped Triss, and had the gall to tell me to walk away or else he won't spare my life? The scariest thing about this cinematic is the fact, that this mountain of muscle(Letho) is faster than Usain bolt(mind you, that he is also not running in proper form, is carrying weaponry and just had a long swim).
