Velen is a place we want to leave when we are there, but to which we want to return when we remember it.

Velen is my absolute favorite region in the game. the music, the scenery, the sadness of its storytelling, the sunsets and the rainstorms, the whole thing. Thanks for capturing it so effectively in this video!!

To be honest, the atmosphere of Velen was so strong that I didnt enjoy playing in it, except Novigrad, Oxenfurt and their surroundings. It feels depressed, hopeless and cruel. Like a village at the edge of the frontlines.

This is so good, personaly my favorite songtrack on your channel. The camera shots and music track are on point. I remember that once I played the witcher 3 i thougth to myself "Wow, Velen truly is a cursed place with all the war, bandits, curses and monsters running around". I thougth that after I found a small leter on a body of a drowned man explaining how because of the drowners intervie ing on the path his brother went on another route and the bandits got them.

There is certain times when you look at a scene from the Witcher 3 game and it got the same color grading and tone to it like a Casper David Friedrich painting. And that is what made a lot of the style of this game and what made it so special. Now that they're going to switch to the Unreal Engine (and I really hate that decision until I've seen otherwise) I'm really worried that the next Witcher game won't capture that same feeling. The whole scenery plus the music is what made this game so atmospheric.
@rafabar66529 ай бұрын
I don't see Friedrich in it at all, but maybe you have a particular scene and painting in mind. And you can do all the same things in UE5, but "better"

Amazing work! I can see that with every new video you master the camera work and the selection of music tracks. Also the locations where you place the camera are quite unique. I can see that you thought them through, like they are far from being random. There is clearly a thought process behind your work. Which adds to the quality. You are one of the more original ambient creators on this platform at the moment, I think. What else can I say... I'm excited for your future videos!

Still the greatest game. Loved how it's loosely based on the ancient Kingdom of Rus. Novgorod really was a powerful trade hub in Northern Russia before Moscow. Architecturally similar to Novigrad, many of the writings we have passed down from history come from the Novgorodiians.
