Witcher 3 had a budget of 32$ million and Smuta had only 1/3 of that, 11$ million. I had no chance of trying russian Smuta but i can clearly see Smuta is nowhere near Witcher. Who knows maybe russian gamers will love it and can cover wasted 11 million investments, but I highly doubt.

It's not just a matter of budget, also of people working on it. Smuta was just done the kolkhoz way - "piece is piece, now give us the cash and go f yourselves".

By the way horses do react when you use signs. Which's accurate to the lore cause most animals can't stand magic, ghosts and monsters. Mages can not cast while mounted (unless a horse is heavily sedated which makes it useless). Such a thing can happen only in Warhammer fantasy. In the witcher you have Sodden.

There are tones of indie games and projects with much lower budget than smuta that are much better than smuta So game is not an issue There are moments in smuta that doesnt need high budget but still crap, like voice acting, game dedign, etc So people who try to defend crap talking about money, dont do that But in defence of siberia nova i can say that those dudes have 0 experience in game development They dont know how to create certain game mechanics and use certain technologies at full level but still in short time they managed to create something at least somehow playable and functioning So if Russian government really wants to revive game development in Russia, they have to invest more money to invite people from abroad with game developing experience and teach, train more people on game development and newer technologies But it demands a lot of investment and i dont think that old dudes in administration are ready to spend money on gaming industry

Witcher 3 was developed by a larger game company so it's obvious to be better than the other one, but that doesn't mean the other game isn't worth a try, nice comparison

Ue5 хороший движок Все дело в умении и таланте Не в бюджете, не в движке и даже не в численности разработчиков Суть в том, что студия создавщая смуту не имеет опыта в создании игр, они сами не знают как реализовать те или иные механики, анимации и тд
