It really does look amazing and those new camera modes look incredible. Especially the close camera on roach, so much better then the stock game version. I’m sure side by side the difference would be night and day but it’s hard to tell when there’s no reference footage there. A lot of people remember the Witcher 3 looking incredible for its time so they over estimate how great it still looks and say there’s no difference with this next gen version when it really does look amazing.

This may look the way you remember it but it doesn't look the same. Firstly the RTGI is immediately noticeable in a lot of shots, including the first one. It also includes 2 of the best mods out there (HD Reworked and extreme settings) along with new grass and foliage. Even on an RTX 3070 at 4k with mods this is a noticeable improvement.

Yea you can see the difference straight away but in terms of lightning i don't think realistic is always better than static light. The shot with dead tree are look not so cool in comparison to original, but more realistic...yay i guess? I hope there will be option to play with original lightning.

@@jetinsane1262 There will on Console, not sure about PC. But on console there will be a 30fps Ray Tracing mode or a 60fps non RT mode I believe. So you can get the old lighting back with the benefit of 60fps from the sounds of it. Personally I think the new lighting is an upgrade in every single shot but to each their own. 60fps is more important anyways, though.

I'm genuinely curious and wondering if someone could answer this for me. I bought witcher 3 on disc back in 2015 on ps4, and now I own a digital ps5, so I can't play it but its in my library. Do I still get the upgrade, or will I have to buy the game again?

Unfortunately you would probably have to rebuy the digital version since that version of the console doesn’t have the disk drive. When I upgraded several of my PS4 disk games, it made me insert the disk into my PS5 for the price tags to disappear. I wish there was a way to convert them but Sony probably does it that way to ensure their customers don’t sell the disk while still playing the game.

no it didn't. never had ray tracing and the best texture pack is only 2k and doesn't cover everything

@@leeonardodienfield402Yeah, but it doesn't seem like the ray tracing features are going to be the most obvious ones or used in a limited fashion. If it was say ray traced reflections or a proper, fully implemented GI system it would probably been highlighted in the trailer. I'm guessing we'll get some ray traced shadows and possibly limited GI.
