Would say it has alot of potentials: Ciri being not only a elderborn, but also a trained sorceress, now a full fledged witcher - that skill tree i want to see! Also her lack of wisdom could causes more severe consequences in the quests and stories.overall. I hope her stories are even more ambiguous - also her character.

I just don't want to play as Ciri. It's that simple. While I realize the saga was pretty much all about Ciri, the titular character is Geralt. It's been a while, but was Ciri even in The Last Wish? I don't think so. It was all about Geralt. Sure, Geralt certainly shared center stage with Ciri but HE is the glue of the series. Why is Geralt the focus of the first three games? HE is the Witcher. And I want it to stay that way. Those that will say he retired.. come on.. he would never REALLY retire. He would take a few months off, sure, but it isn't in his character to just stop killing monsters. "No Witcher ever died in his own bed." They could have/should have just made a game called "Elder Blood" and had her, not as a true Witcher, but something different. Let Geralt be The Witcher. Now we are going to get a game that has Ciri be the most powerful Witcher. The trailer.. she does the chain weapon just like Geralt.. but oh no.. not just that, she uses magic to augment it. She doesn't just use signs, she actually uses magic. I'm not feeling it at all. I wouldn't be surprised if they had Geralt in the game only to act like a jobber for Ciri.

L take bro.The series is called "The Witcher", not Geralt. Ciri had an ending where she became the Witcher, and Geralt had an ending where he settles down. His story is done, Ciri's is just starting. This is a very natural direction to go in. Don't let your biases against "wokenes" or female leads affect your judgement. Be better than that.

The trailer ripped off "killing monsters" it just seems like a geralt reskin, they made her go under the mutations simply to people cant say "She is not a real witcher" not because it was the logical thing the character would do? Why would Yennefer and Geralt want ciri to go through this? Pretty sure Ciri is now sterile and the blood line ends with her.

Oh boy for the entire game? probably 100 hours with side quests and everything else included, and thats not even touching the DLC, but keep in mind It Is open world, so you playtime at your own pace :)

Novel wise, you'd be done the prolouge and starting chapter 1. More or less. lol It's a long game, but you don't really feel the length (at least I didn't). I would play and get side tracted, and awhile later I'd remember what I was doing before I got side tracted and so I'd get back on track but then notice that I've been playing for around 5-6 hours. I'd think to myself, how was I playing for that long of time, it felt like I'd only really played for about an hour and on top of that it didn't feel like I accomplished much in the game. So have fun, you'll get through what feels like a little side mission that in most games be like 20-30 minutes of play time but be 3-5 hours on the Witcher. I don't mean this as a bad thing either, it's just that in this case time really flies because you're having fun, and it's so much fun you're having so the equal amount of time ends up flying by. lol

I've had the game for over two months now I'll play for like an hour or two and hop off. And then sometimes I'll go a couple of days without playing and forget some of the story. They have a separate studio they bought working on the Witcher 1 remake whereas this was already in production. The new studio has a boat load of devs from Witcher 3.

Ciri is hella boring and not nearly as interesting as Geralt, Yennefer, or Triss. Her power kinda makes her not as interesting either. She can basically stop time and teleport. Not as grounded as Geralt. But we'll see. I enjoyed Witcher 3 immensely and I hope they flesh her out.

As strange as it sounds, Ciri makes me finally want to play the Witcher 3. Had no interest in this series... I mean, I like Geralt but I liked him sorta like a guy who likes Kratos... like sure I know who he is but it's not like I *know* him, I kept on wanting to play the Witcher 3. but so many other games were on the list. But now, cause I totally dig Ciri! I like that she's got all that experience under her belt. She has a history I can look up and have it be mostly accurate and connected to something, plus it's one of those rare occasions where the lady in question comes already preloaded with badassness and she's not a comic book character. That's kind of rare these days! Not counting Dungeons and Dragons, but most fantasy settings put their female characters in the boring ole, she can't do that because of blah blah and blah because this was written by an older author from the olden times or _it's just sexist but we're totally gonna pretend it's not_ sort of thing that women can't fight for some reason, category. So I've been doing the rare thing of loring up my info on this game world so this video helped out a ton!

I mean we filtered out the 'sexy bots' that comment 1 minute into a videos release, but otherwise i do largely have the comment section left open for discussion. As for the model, I'd say their enough there to say thats Ciri, white hair, same scars, and similar same face structure, albeit a fuller face at certain, currently i'd probably reserve my judgement of the overall design till we get a proper real In game cutscene of her look and design, 'Monsters' had a vastly different model of geralt that looks stylistically simliar to this then what we got in game
