My great grandparents came to USA from Hungary and the culture was lost over the generations except the food and we gather for a few times a year at Paprikas celebrating our forefather Grandpa Dobos and also enjoy a Dobos torte. Seeing you and your videos feels good for my soul to connect with my roots. Thank you for your posts. I’ve let my hair grey and grow as I age and you’ve reconfirmed that natural is best! I love that you’re ok with how thin your braid gets at the bottom and I’ve always felt compelled to trim but just going to let it do what it may for now. Bless you cousin!!

You can always fluff up a braid which will give the illusion of a lot more thickness than you have. With the length you have you could go to crazy levels with that.

@SingingSealRiana4 жыл бұрын
Same struggle, no added growth in 3 years the last time I tried, never get it long enough to cover my breasts. And the thickness makes elaborat buns impossible, a bit more than shoulderlangth and a quarter raspy short to thin it out and I still barely get a single round. . .

I feel that -> 3:38 Every time I try to do something a bit more complex than my everyday braid my hair gets knotted in the most creative ways.... (Edit: I just realized that I wrote the same thing in my last comment. My memory is not the best 😅😂) Anyway, I love this hairstyle! That you just wind your already braided hair around your neck is really smart. A good way to store it while braiding the rest. I'm afraid I have to steal this technique from you 🙈😂 Just as I am, my cat, for some reason, seems to be really interested in your videos. I need to research that further 😂

I prefere more simple hairstyles over the overkill some depictions present instead. Beauty needs space to breath and overdooing it with way to many things going on at the same time, does not alowe for that. One theme, one centerpieceand the rest steps back to let it shine is way more up my ally . . . Also useing something very simple to make something looking like way more is totaly my thing

Do you have a gibson girl hairstyle video? I've got long hair (not as long as yours mines only hip length) and i find it extremely difficult to get that rolled type hairstyle. ive tried a million times and the part i struggle with most - even if by some miracle i get the front area to look nice - is the actual bun back of the head roll. like it just does not compute and i want to find a way to do it without a million hair or bobby pins since my hair is too slippery for that and i was thinking with your knowledge maybe there is a folk like one that uses a ribbon at the tail of the hair and is rolled upwards like a rug/swiss roll and the ribbon then tied at the top front or something? Anyway even if its not exactly a gibson girl i would love to see a folk look with roll type style and very little in the way of modern hair tools and products to do it with. My hairs naturally straight and doesnt hold any wave curl crimp nothing lol hairdressers have tried and failed i think because my hair is also very fine but theres a lot of it so it is also thick which means i get the downsides of both thick and fine hair. so i usually just braid it, have it half up half down or in a high bun. Occasionally ill do my hair in a viking like hair style where its partly down and free and has lots of braids (rope, basket, french) and brown ribbon to tie them (instead of brown leather strips) and i really enjoy that since i get the beauty of my hair down and loose but also a lot of the benfits of having it away from my face and off my neck (it gets too hot otherwise my hair is very much a blanket) Your hair is extremely beautiful (and so are you 😊) i hope my hair is that long in the next 5 years! Im a natural multi shaded blonde ranging from white blonde to dark milk chocolate blonde with metallic shades of bronze and gold throughout so my hair changes colour with the seasons and depending on the light can look either fully gold blonde flaxen whatever OR milk chocolate looking... i think the colour is called mysti??? In slavic countries but yeah i rarely see my hair colour around and thats the closest ive found is natural blondes of that general area who tend towards darker blonde. Could you do a video on hair colours like the natural ones of folklore associated symbolism meanings or a general overview of them in europe or the british islands. I know my last name came about from the term for fair or yellow haired so its always fascinated me the different hair colours and how red for example is more prevalent in ireland and like how theres at least 5 different shades per colour and how brunette hair can look black etc. The females of my paternal line are fair haired but go pure white fairly early in life so it was lovely to find your channel and see your lovely hair and of course 'grandma hair' is seen as cool these past years but ive always loved it to me it looks more magical and elf or sidhe/fae like and since i was little ive been hoping and praying that id have lovely bright white hair at some point and really embrace a elf forest like look haha.
