Nice to find a witch tale that doesn't end with death! Thanks for the video! 😁

You're very welcome. Yeah I thought delving a little into the history of witchcraft was dark enough, so went with a lighter story. Lots of dark stories to come though 😁

Loved this story and loved finding something different to the usual sleep stories i find ill be back to listen to the ones i havent heard already subscribed i had no idea of the scale of the loss in the Scottish witch trials nor did i suspect that the witch trials there started so early and finished so late very interesting. I also love folklore and old tales too. 👍💚💛💙

Thanks Caroline, really glad you enjoyed it. Yeah the trials here in Scotland were pretty shocking. So there are a lot of stories of witchcraft to be told.

My great, great uncle (x10) was the tutor of King James VI, his name was George Buchanan (he also tutired Mary Queen of Scots on her return to Scotland) As im sure you know King James was the main protagonist of the witch trials in the 1500's, so having the knowledge my ancestor had quite an influence of King James weighs heavy on my heart. George Buchanan is buried in Greyfriars, but his skull is in the university. I also have an ancestor who was accused of withcraft in 1700's, also a Buchanan (as am I to this day) she would have been a descendant of George too, they came from the same village in stirling. I dont call myself a witch per say, but I do follow some pagan ritualism and beliefs and theres no doubt I'd have ended up being accused had I been alive back then.
