Having Germanized names is a common marketing tactic in China, akin to sticking little German flags or colors on Taobao listings, as if it contained German-made components. Hong Kong literally has a home appliance/kitchen chain store called "German pool", a local Chinese company that mostly makes its wares in China, along with a few high-end German imports. (This isn't surprising as the big German brands like Bosch & Siemens now make their Asian models in Asia. AFAIK only Miele is German-made.)

I really like the implementation of the wireless charging pad. A lot of cars have the pad at an odd angle or situated in a way that makes it hard to pick up your phone, this slot seems like a good solution. And ironically, I got an add for actual coffee below this video

Wonder how much would this cost if imported in Europe (without the sales tax, as it is different from country to country)? The only EVs from China here are coming from JAC, and their model S4 (55kWH battery) goes for about 30'000CHF (31'000USD). No clue how much are they in China.

I took a look at the W6 several weeks ago and found out the biggest problem was that the back seats will not fold all the way down. Seems like a minor thing but our regular moving boxes would not sit up correctly therefore we crossed over this model. Those boxes are in the car all the time when traveling between two homes.

I recall seeing a video a couple of years back. Not sure if that was a concept or something real. It showed an Audi A7 just go and park itself after the driver got out in front of a building. The car just went, located a suitable space and then parked. After that the driver came out, pressed a button and the car returned to the front of the building. Didn't have to keep holding any buttons or teach it anything.

Culture and environment for sure. Subcompact SUVs hit the sweet spot between price and Chinese need for a family car. VW's two Chinese partners (FAW and SAIC) made so many Tiguan variants that absolutely no one is able to tell how many are out there. Some are so drastically altered that they are sold in other markets as separate entities - like the Tiguan Allspace (which is just standard, "elongated" Tiguan in China).

Please correct us if we are wrong, but Tesla's Summon feature only allows you to, well, summon the car to your current location. It does not allow the car to memorize a specific parking space and navigate to that space. We would say the Tesla system has the advantage of flexibility in terms of coming to the user instead of going to a set spot, but the fact that the W6 can park itself is still a meaningful advancement.
