So 42% of her OREB are her own missed shots. She has also missed 95 layups, that is 3.8 per game. This is fact. Feel free to copy my data and use in any way, it took a few hours to compile. Miss "Double/Double" isn't a bad player, however even Rodman knew who was Isaiah Thomas or MJ. After that last Aces game prior to the break she could have given CC credit, Chennedy Carter lol. Yet she choose not 2, she took the credit herself. Like I told my daughter many years back, you made the bed & now you need to sleep on it. Angel has had so many chances to stop the madness & give CC, Chennedy Carter love but her pride, ego or other can't do it. Cardosa will over shadow her soon if she gets minutes. Yes, Reese had 8 offensive rebounds and most of those was from her own missed shots. A Star with 4 of 14 shoots from 5 feet or closer??????? Another stat padding game for Reese. I agree, the WNBA and ESPN are doing Angela Reese a disservice by still trying to hype her as the ROTY. Time to discontinue the silly double double "record" and start giving Chennedy Carter her due as the Sky's most valuable player. Chennedy lately actually seems to be trying to repair her reputation as a violent out-of-control player who gets bounced from team to team after off-the-wall physical confrontations with other players, including some of her own teammates. I've been trying to collect stat data on the 'double-double' - how often it's accomplished and how much harder a triple double is to accomplish. W data on this seems hard to find. But the difference in the double-double and triple-double numbers in the NBA look like this for last season 2,247 double-doubles vs 137 triple-doubles. I can't find the W double-double stats for last year. There is no doubt a double-double is at the NBA level is a pedestrian stat knowing it happened 2247 times in the 82 game 2023 season. One player had 77 alone. The level of hype over AR is nauseating knowing this. Anyone that can point me to D-D /TD stats for the W is appreciated.

Reese had 19 points and 20 rebounds last night. The guards not named Carter were non-existent not getting more than 2 points in the game. Not much one can do with that output. She did what she could and set further milestones. You all go on about the doubles doubles like it something new. It’s not. The only thing new is the CC fans. They’ve been around since Chamberlain. Think about it. What does a streak of double doubles mean? How consistent does a player’s game have to be to achieve a streak? You guys all go on about Teese because you’re afraid she might get to much attention. We know it. No other rookies are setting the records and milestones like Reese and Clark. That is fact, even though you want to downplay Reese to raise Clark further up. Reese will break the offensive rebounding record. She’ll also break the overall rebounding record along with double-doubles in a season, but that’s what she’s always done. She doesn’t have a Kelsie Mitchell or a Boston or a Hull lighting up the scoreboard when she goes 3 for 10 from 3. You know, the thing she was drafted for. Reese was drafted for her double doubles and delivers on that. CC has become a passer. Hoping to get assists-which require 2 people-the passer and the shooter-too make the stat. Hell, Mitchell and her threes have accounted for half of CC’s assists the last two games. The passes were nothing special, but the shots were spectacular. The credit goes to the scorer not the passer. Lord knows if a player passes to Clark and she hits a rare 3 you guys never mention the player who passed to her and got the assist. Do the same for the other Fever shooters unless the pass is exceptional, which isn’t that often. You want to see exceptional passing, check out Penecheiro highlights. Now there was a passer. She just didn’t have the shooters Clark has. Oh, Boston almost had a triple double yesterday-as a center. Pretty incredible but not a mention from channels like this. It kind of shows what you’re all about and you’ll be wondering why players will leave and why the Fever can’t get anybody any good to come there. It’s because you always have to make it about CC, even when she’s the 3rd best player out there for the Fever in a given game.

A R was good/bog enough to make it into the WNBA but she isnt and never will be a great player. Shes big but shes not a good shooter. She gets many offensive rebounds because her missed 3 or 4 4 foot shots bounce right back at her. Shes too slow and clumsy to do anything but what she already does. What good does it do if you are 6'3" but your shots start out at hip level. Too easily blocked.
