Our government doesn't even respect our 1A rights at all. They passed an antisemitic hate speech law in Congress (the House), and jail anti-abortion protestors for over 10 years while violent thugs get a slap on the wrist. There is no reason to fight for this government. At all. The regime sent people to fight in Afghanistan all for what? They don't trust us to own AR-15 rifles but leave millions of dollars of heavy weapons and machine guns to the Taliban. Meanwhile, they think they themselves are doing a good job while we aren't responsible enough to own AR-15 rifles. This govt has no business managing an army. At all. And our government betrayed us. Our border is undefended.

My husband and I have two 18 year old. We are both from large families with a lot of current and retired military. The boys were both going to go into different branches in the military as soon as they graduated. Ones ASVAB was slightly above-average the other was extremely above average. The sheer volume of calls was unreal. They were both already unhappy with the direction the military was going and once mark milley started his white rage bs they both decided they were not enlisting. Every recruiter that called they would tell him the same thing. According to upper brass I'm a racist devil and domestic terrorist since I'm a cisgender straight white male. Why would I put my life on the line and go somewhere I'm hated? Honestly my husband and I couldn't blame them.

If you want to destroy a country just do what is happening in the USA today and it is no different in Australia, every old fashioned time honoured aspect of life is under attack from the woke socialists and pathetic week kneed politicians. They are manifestly interfering with the minds of young children on every lever of life, sport, religion, education, family under attack on every level, it is just sickening. The old diggers of WW2 would be rolling in their graves if they knew what was happening in collective societies of today! My eldest son served in Afghanistan in 2007-8 combat engineers, my father WW2 RAAF and my grandfather spent 2 years on the western front in France WW1. Our way of live is under attack like never before, and I do not have any faith in MSM reporting of anything much these, they are all lying to us on a daily basis, accept for some very few, the ones who cop all the abuse and attempted shut downs from the respective governments. Western democratic countries are in big trouble on many fronts. I've no doubt that Australia one day will be a muslim state or if invaded by China run by them! Unless there is a major reset where things are going.

I joined the Marines the day I turned 18. Vietnam was in full swing. I got out and became a veterinarian and ended up retiring from the Army. In the past I could recommend going into the service to many young people. That is no longer the case. Our woke senior leaders are destroying our military. Sad, but true.

I come from a family of military men going as far back as the Indian wars with the early colonist in the 1600s. I have family members who were killed in the civil war. My grandfather was in WW1, my father in Korea and Vietnam. I myself was in the Iraq war. But I tell you this- none of my sons will be in the military going forward for the casualty reason mentioned. I found out the disproportionate numbers of white male casualties out 3 years ago.

Today's military under this woke administration is definitely not the committed and professional military of yesterday. Recently talked a young college graduate relative with a 3.9 four year engineering average about the difference. Was glad to see that they opted to wait until this administration was completely gone before joining other family members in their service to their country. I would have done the same thing.

I'm totally surprised given the reduction in enlistment and reenlistment rates there hasn't been more of a push for conscription. Having been a victim myself of the draft during Vietnam, I guarantee that if the government resorts to drafting my grandchildren they will have another war on their hands.

My dad was inducted into the military for Korea in 1952. Back in the 1980s he always told my mom he did not want me to join the military. He did 22 years in the military. But he saw it became a joke

I'm 64 now with amputated foot, but they want to draft my son with all these arrogant beetches, revolution or civil war will be long overdue. What is left can all go work for that f'ing VA

The U.S. military is as Winston Churchill once described the British Army - an army of lions led by donkeys. Milley should spend more time reading von Clausewitz and Sun Tzu and less time reading Ibram Henry Rogers (aka Ibram X Kendi). All this garbage he and others are injecting into the U.S. military at the behest of the Leftist U.S. maladministration will do nothing but lessen unit cohesion and combat effectiveness and set us up for a real disaster. All flag rank officers should resign in protest over what their civilian overlords are requiring them to do in this regard unless they think it's a great idea, in which case they also ought to resign.

I am so glad I did my military service at the time I did, late 70s to early 80s. Homosexuality was officially forbidden but most of us knew it existed in private. As long as it stayed private most were fine with it. Women were just coming in and were given special privileges like limited field duty so as to be available for photo ops. The women I respected didn't like it any better.

Apparently, woke ideology does not work well in the military. No group wants to lead in a battle but soldiers willing to risk all. But just so that it is fair, the new military under the command of slow boat Milley, (20 year leader of the failed war in Afghanistan) all recruits and battle ready soldiers need to be based on equity and race. Every platoon, recon scouts must be made of race, gender dysphoric, and in touch with their feelings. The death toll should also be fair, since everything is about inclusion. The military is insane if it thinks it can commit to such an approach as woke ideology.
