Nice to have you back Martyn, Great coverage as always, with plenty of glorious sunshine as well. Still a strange sight seeing an A4 down West...Best wishes...Bob

It's good to be back Bob after our winter lay-off. I'm not sure if this particular A4 has ever been to the West. I could be wrong, but it's a definite first sighting for us. Thanks as always.

I can see why they use the 25 they don't want a repeat of what happened in 2011 when bittern took the torbay express and got stuck on the gradient going back to Churston. They used Lyndham manor and the class 25 to bank it!

Splendid shot round the curve at Starcross. I must say, the 25 looks nice after its repaint over the winter. * Lol at HST bowling people on other platform at Castle Cary.

I deliberately left the whole shot at Castle Cary in to show the full story. The dispatcher set off when the HST came into sight. The chap with the tripod is looking over his shoulder at the start of the scene. He then goes on to look round eleven times as it draws nearer before he makes a run for it and meets SNG coming the other way. We've all been there many times. Thanks for your comment.

A great video for what was a great day. Why did the diesel have to pilot No.7? I'm sure that 60007 is capable of climbing the 1in71 bank(?) out of Goodrington.

A Pacific with 12 on I think might have been a bit optimistic. I think it's actually about 1 in 50 at the steepest.

Thanks for your comment Lewis. The class 25 was always going to be needed to take the train on to Kingswear. It's just a pity that they didn't put it inside at Paignton which would have removed the need to take it off at Churston to release the A4.
