I love that these are a thing. My neighbor is a little old Korean lady that has been adopted by us and it is reciprocated, she brings us food all the time and spends holidays with us. This summer she brought 2 cases of Korean ramen that her sister sends her and they all came with 3 packets of seasonings, 1 chicken/beef, 1 thick brown gooey something or other that is amazing, and 1 packet of fiery death sauce. Of course, we add the first 2 packets to all of our ramen and maybe 1/4 of the fiery death sauce, but yummy there are.

Those noodles are so tasty, burning aside the flavor is very delicious. Just don't plan on having a normal stomach afterward. I would highly recommend combining it with lots of other additives to your noodles, meat, vegetables, etc because if you eat only the noodles then you're basically consuming the packet by itself.

yeah thats true with most instant noodles. The sky high salt content is also killer on your stomach. I usually tell people to at least add some potato and/or cabbage as well as some protein since cabbage and potato both soak up salt and protein makes the meal less nutritionally 1 dimensional

After watching this video, I ordered up a 5 pack of these on Amazon. Initially I got them to challenge my Indo-Canadian colleagues who eat a lot of Indian dishes and like to share their pain with me. I had to try a pack of them first so as not to embarrass myself in front of them.... @!%&!@@ these things are HOT!!!! After getting a few bites in and realizing the pain wasn't going to go away, I settled in and let it wash over my lips tongue, and throat and actually started to get the underlying flavor. Although these little noodley devils are FREAKIN' HOT they are also quite delicious and I will be ordering more. Thanks for another great video, Larry!

I watched this episode with my little brother the other day and yesterday I was happily surprised to find Two five packs of this same ramen brand on my dining table! I immediately tried it and it was very spicy, but pretty good. Later that day I made some more, but added a bit of natural orange juice to give it a sweet and citrusy flavor. It was even better. korea really does ramyun and spicy right. in great parts due to the aromatic awesomeness of gochujang, their traditional fermented chilly paste. i'm positively hooked to shin ramyun, and even recommended them to thewolfe before. they arent brutally spicy to begin with, but there's one approved way to moderate the heat: crack in an egg or two, and poach them for the last minute of boiling. the runny yolk is the perfect dipping sauce for the noodles, and when it mixes with the broth, it nicely mellows the spiciness down, adding a lot of creamy richness. adjectives cant do it justice.

Great review! The package would avert me with these noodles. I can handle a little spicy heat, but if it says "nuclear" , that has me thinking it's way too spicy for me.

My 19 year old son loves it when I pick a bunch of these up, when in stock, at our local .99 cent store. He will eat at least two a day! How his stomach survives even I do not know! And I eat all manner of hot foods!

+TheWolfePit I love these noodles, just had a bowl before watching this video today. I make mine a little bit different, I leave enough water so that the consistency is somewhere between this and Pho... adding green onions, pineapple chunks, cilantro, lemon juice, and crunch up some extra Nori... with a side of sliced fresh cucumber that has a shaved carrot, sliced red onion, and thin sliced fresh jalapeno in a dipping fish sauce/ Sriracha optional.

I love your channel, and these noodles! I eat them for breakfast regularly, but mix a couple tablespoons of peanut butter in and undercook the noodles a bit. And no worries, the family noise was a welcome glimpse into the real life Wolfe pit! Oh, and for future reference, yeast extract is one of a few tricky names for MSG - and I love it too!

I haven't tried the 2X but I eat the regular spicy ones all the time. They have a wonderful taste. I add an egg to the water while boiling for about 1.5 minutes drain with the noodles. It's keeps the egg yolk runny. The yolk helps with the heat. I need to find some 2X to try. Try the regularly spicy version and you will probably get hooked.

The crazy thing about these noodles is while they are indeed very hot I agree they are also VERY tasty. The heat wants you to go away but the taste and texture of the noodles keeps you coming back.

These are my fav. I eat them once a week. Used to give me toilet trouble but not anymore. Only difference is that i microwave and drain all the water completely and then put the sauce.
