@@Svpabadd There are some very good microbrews. But yes, generally speaking, mass-produced beer in the US is terrible. Most have adjuncts of corn and/or rice and starches that gives it a sickly sweet taste. Can't stand most of them.

So far, Warsteiner is my favourite German beer, although I prefer the dark 'dunkel beers'. Unfortunately not many of those are sold in the UK - not even Warsteiner.

First they take the nice burnt, smokey taste out of the dunkel and now theyre putting it in cans? Its a shame to see such a good german beer go down the tubes. I e mailed the and asked and asked why they took the roasted crystal malts out of their dunkel but no response came. Oh well, hopefully Hofbrau and Kostrikzer will maintain their quality. Sorry Warstiener but seems youre getting greedy like american brewers so I wont be buying anymore.

Weihenstephaner, Hofbrau, and ayinger are far superior german breweries than warsteiner. They're headed down the same road as becks.
