I’m 66 years old and never listen to the radio. I play iTunes while driving. One day while scrolling through $0.69 songs, I came across Lemon to a Knife Fight. Now I’m hooked.

This is what reading festival is all about. Great rock/Indie bands, sunshine amazing crowds. Reading doesn’t suit all this modern Grime/Rap music.
@automaticasthmatic5 жыл бұрын
I agree with you, but at the same time The Wombats are not a great Rock/Indie band! All their songs are exactly the same, but they are fun live. They're still more 'Reading Festival' than most of the shit that has been there over the last couple of years. Rock On!!
@christopherwilliams18425 жыл бұрын
Cmon guys, Reading and Leeds is about the music of the youth, not a purist festival that attracts oldies
@automaticasthmatic5 жыл бұрын
@@christopherwilliams1842 Reading festival was always a rock/punk festival. It's a festival that celebrates music created by musicians, not computers. A festival of anarchy and rebellion of the system. It's now a festival for x factor and kim kardashian fans. Sell outs, nobodies, everybodies.
@christopherwilliams18425 жыл бұрын
@@automaticasthmatic how can it now be about everybodies and nobodies?? My god man get the fuck over yourself, things change man, you're right it is a festival about anarchy and going against the system. Did you see the crowd in the 1975 when they called for anarchy? Did you see the crowd when billie eilish came on, the way she's being received by the older generation, is that not rebellion? You can't call AJ Tracey, Not3s or Frank Carter any more a sellout than Meatloaf, Bonnie Tyler or New Order. Don't get all nostalgic for the past and misremember how it actually was. Sure its less rock and metal than it used to be, but there's still plenty of that there, bullet for my valentine played a packed out secret set for gods sake, and that's just because times aren't as rock and metal as they used to be
@christopherwilliams18425 жыл бұрын
@@automaticasthmatic oh and don't fuckin talk about music by musicians and not computers, primal scream, prodigy, new order all heavily use computers in their music and all have headlined the festival, grow the fuck and respect all musicians

Saw a comment with loads of replies about music made from computers. Music from computers is so much easier to make nowadays than it once was. You have to take that into account. Either way, i was there at reading this year and their set was enjoyable as per usual. Slightly annoyed they played this song like second on though. Couldnt get far enough forward to properly get into it
