Crazy, I was walking my dog last night and a CD was sitting on the wall it was damp from the rain, the CD was John Holt police in helicopters, I was so happy and starting singing the song on my way home, wiped down the CD and dried out the cover and casing, now I am watching this about no other then Mr John Holt :)

Wonder what kind of wall that is, where Reggae CDs are idling in the rain, waiting to be picked up🤔

@@Scratch7.7.7 It is like any normal wall at the front of a house, people do leave stuff outside, I live in a well to do area and over the years have picked up many items of value that I have flipped for cash, finding the CD was a surprise, maybe I am blessed by Jah, may Jah drop you some joy :)

Brilliant when things like that happen.. sometimes I leave books at bus stops.. it would be lovely to find a bag of herbs on a brick wall... Wishful thinking specially the prices of it in England..@@ChayBode

Yes Police in Helicopter of 1983...My favorite album from John Holt also. His early series' of "Volts" albums were also noteworthy starting with 1000 Volts of Holt in '71 followed by the sequels " 2000 Volts of Holt and later 3000 Volts of Holt in '73...

John Holt is the best singer out of Jamaica. Until his death,his voice never changed. I’ve been listening to his songs since the days of the Paragons.

Accidentally got into reggae music in 1990 thank God my friends thought I was a little bit for a 13 year old white boy from London playing all types of reggae music but for me my favourite artist has always been John Holt follow closely by beres Hammond . Bear in mind I'm a big John Holt collector I have almost 850 tracks from John . In my opinion the greatest vocalist all time I'm glad the lead singer from UB40 agrees Ali Campbell.. anyway sorry for waffling 🥱😅💯🇬🇧👍

I didn’t know when that was a reggae version of red red wine first and UB40 like it and played it and it’s was #1 in London and I’m 54 years old
@Gray-zi5bp6 ай бұрын
Neil diamond originally wrote red red wine.. but when UB40 covered it UB40 was amazed because it wasn't a original reggae song what was a reggae it in the 60s by lord creator. I love the 60s reggae take and I love UB40 12 in but I must say did not go too much on when John covered it on 1997 album ... Fistful of Holt a pretty good album from my greatest vocalists of all time the late great sir John Holt. 💯🇬🇧👍

John Holt was indeed a legend in the music industry, and his influence and legacy continue to be celebrated by many. He was a great guy. In an interview, Max Romeo admitted that if it wasn't for John Holt's advice to return to Jamaica from the USA, he could have gotten lost in the USA
