I've been following the 811 ratio for about 6 months now and have averaged about 80% raw. This video is so amazing and makes me want to push through to 100% raw. Seeing Kappi Osborne do pull-ups was mind blowing. I want that for any future children of mine.

The power of the mind is unfathomable, an individual who is motivated enough can accomplish anything they put their mind to. I think that this documentary is testament to the power of the human mind and the power of motivated human beings. I don't think that it is testament to the raw fruit diet. There are a thousand ways to live your life, no one of those lives is the right way because the right way varies between every individual.

I know where I will be next summer. What an incredible experience this must me. Given how toxic our cultural environment has become, I look at the community that comes together at this event and am sure that the positive energy is euphoric. I am two days into the fruitarian lifestyle and look forward to the health benefits on the horizon. One of my goals is to arrive at the festival, take my shirt off and strike a pose reminiscent of Michelangelo's David. I have no doubt I will with fruits help

I really would love to attend this next year. Unfortunately, $1,000+ is a LOT of money for me. I hope that eventually the festival organizers make it possible for people on a budget to partake. For instance, I'd be more than glad to "work" part of the time (cleaning, prepping food, etc) and have a reduced or even free admission. In any event, I loved the video, love the energy of the fruit eaters, and love the inspiration!

I think, in the beginning you also have to learn a lot: where do you get good quality produce which is still affordable to you? how much should you eat? how will you do this socially? why is all this worth it?... :) I've done this diet for some weeks in the past but wasn't yet able to eat enough constantly (this is still a challenge for me). But I'm working on this and hope to get to this lifestyle again then being able to stay there because I've never felt so good than when eating this way. :)

It is really nice to see people enjoying themselves and trying to get healthy and eat healthy. Personally l prefer to avoid fruits and vegetables and only eat sprouts, seaweeds and algaes, but l appreciate the motivation of my fruit brothers and sisters to eat raw foods in their natural state. Bravo to you all for trying to improve your life...the raw lifestyle isn't always easy to do in this hectic world of SAD mentalities. Love to you all, The Sproutarian.

It's actually way easy after a while. I struggled for a while too, but what helped me was buying my staples of bananas, kiwis, oranges and apples in bulk, freezing the bananas and kiwis and juicing the apples and oranges I hadn't eaten once they were ripe and using them in smoothies :) Remember, frozen and dehydrated still count as raw ;)

Everyone can try. I can only speak for myself: I feel soooo much better, when I eat this way: so much cleaner, fitter, more energy, more love towards myself and others, happier, more positive, wanting to exercise (which I otherwise don't do because it's to exhausting), more confident, more open to other people, ... :)

Fruits and vegetables, baby, you better believe it! We're leading the way to a better world.

I think it is an interesting experience, and it is very good to eat more fruit and vegetable. But.... Try eating fully raw in Alaska or north of Russia or Scandinavia, where they have 5 snowy cold months (at least), and it is not possible not to drink hot tea or eat soup. Bananas and tropical fruit don't fall straight from the trees in their mouths. Sure, you can buy some, but they are expensive and you need a lot of fruit to get all the calories you need. As an event, Woodstock fruit festival is great. It's like summer camp full of fun and people who think same as you..)
@feelingoffbalance11 жыл бұрын
If you think about it, humans as animals come from Africa. We are a tropical animal that needs to live in heated shelters and put lots of clothes on when it's snowing. The same if you bought a pet that was a tropical animal, like a turtle, you would have to put him in heated terrarium and give him food that is good for him. So what is unnatural? Maybe living in Alaska is...

I would absolutely love to go one day. What a wonderful group of people. I've been vegan for over a year now and I'm learning more and more each day. I've recently gone high-carb, low-fat (mostly) raw and the only cooked food I eat are potatoes. Been seeing great results since. No way am I ever going back!

Looks lovely! I want to go this year!! Yay!! :D
@reggiedavis280312 жыл бұрын
The cost depends on how much of a priority you make it. If you make it high priority you take monies from other things, things you could do without, or things less important than health (which is most things), take that money and go buy up some organic fruits and vegetables...and then sit back and watch your life change--like I did.

I'm not the kind of person who is good at switching his/her whole mealplan at once. So at the moment I'm slowly going my way more and more towards low fat, high carb raw vegan. First, I went vegetarian, then cooked vegan, a few months ago I stopped eating gluten, at the moment I try to reduce oil/fat and salt in my diet. I'm eating more and more fruits, rice and potatoes.

It costs about 300 days saved from being sick and 20 days of being in the hospital. Oh and health insurance, not a worry any more. But seriously, i get by on between $8 to 20$ a day depending on the fruit in season and the money in the wallet. Thank goodness for bananas!
