As a rather mature knitter, I very much enjoy your videos. I feel that you have a very mature approach to your knitting without losing the enthusiasm and freshness of a younger knitter. You have knitted some beautiful as well as practical garments and you really seem to enjoy the process as well as the product. I'm a fan.

I think tutorials from you would be a gift, Vanissia. You have such a lucid and engaging style. I’m currently trying to choose a fingering weight sweater for my Woolyknit yarn. Eri Shimizu has a number of lovely ones and I am also looking at the Azor by Orlane Sucche, the Samsø by Pernille Larsen and the Childhood sweater by ANKESTRiCK.

Wonderful informative and inspiring podcast Vanissia! I also find my ribbing “messy” looking, but the wrong side looks neater 😮 So now I do a German short rows stitch to turn my work inside out when I am ready to start my ribbing, that way my neater side is showing on my right side 😊 Maybe this will help you 🤞🏻 Have a great day 💓🇨🇦

I liked your style from the beginning, Vanissia, especially because you are organized and keep track of those details that really make the difference in a beautifully finished knit! You have grown and the podcast is - of possible! - even better than at first. Thank you for all the time you take to make your podcast excellent. If you ever want to do a tutorial on jogless tripes, I will be the first to watch and learn! Your color choices for fall - especially the brioche sweater and your Syrah - are so beautiful!

36:30 I have been seeing Russian knitters use that technique a lot, - though I don’t know who came up with it in the first place - it is called “strong heel” 👏 It seems really easy and ‘logical’ way of doing the heel 🤓

Beautiful knitting! The sock heel is a fleegle heel variation i think. I am doing some toe up and you do all the increasing first then short rows to turn the heel. Where you are top down doing increases then turn the heel which is the reverse. Thanks for your vlog it's v interesting.

In regards to pickup rates, it you divide your stitch rate by your row gauge, you can get the rate you need. It’s helpful to know in case your stitch or row gauge ever differ from the designers. Love all your stuff!

Hi Vanissia, so many beautiful WIPs, that coming soon sweater is going to be amazing it looks such a cozy sweater. I love the Holly sweater, it’s been on my wish list a while but the sparkly Manestrale is inspired, what a fabulous idea, so looking forward to seeing that finished. On the green swatch, I prefer the Olive colour, I could see some subtle variations in that. Oh and tutorials from you would be fabulous. You do such an amazing job, thank you Vanissia ❤

I love Manchelopi! And it won't break once it's knit up, but it WILL grow with washing/blocking. So you don't need to worry about the drop shoulders being too narrow, but in my case the next sweater I'll make with this, I will knit slightly too small on purpose. And I absolutely fell in love with the chocolatey dark brown, even though I usually don't like brown 😄 I used it for the bears in the "Unbearable Hoody"

Hi Vanissia, I am knitting Ginger (by Yamagara) and it is pretty involve. Don't you want to knit it with me? Many years ago (over 15) I knitted a Fisherman's rib sweater for my husband in a XXL size in dark charcoal color. It was knitted on pieces. Was a lot of work specially because it was hard to mend any mistakes, so the only option was to frog some rows until you catch the error. I prefer the olive color of your swatch and I am jealous already of your Holy sweater. It is going to be awesome!!

Just a quick tip when you sew on buttons, put a few pins between your button and the thread on the top the whole time you are sewing on the buttons. This leaves space for your fabric under the button when you do the button up. Hope this made sense😀

Take a look at the Lenu Sweater by Ankestrick. It's a contiguous construction ... a cross between saddle shoulder and raglan. The fit is really good because it creates a shoulder and the increases through the yoke keep it from having a lot of extra fabric around the underarms. It's also a fingering weight pattern (held with mohair).

The Syrah is looking great and this colour as well. I totally feel your colour choices at the moment. Your COMING SOON Sweater is sooo beautiful and the colour is gorgeous, I really like the 'wrong' side. Makes me want to knit it as well, but I'm working on her OLE Hat right now and now I think about wearing it with the 'wrong' side out as well. It's almost in the same colour as your sweater - Into the Woods 9882 on Double Sunday. I'd go with the Olive from your green swatch, I think you can still see lighter and darker spots in there. Your glittering christmas jumper is going to look stunning, I'm sure.

Oooh that dark red rusty shade of PHW is everything! Regarding your KFO swatch, both options look really great but I feel like the top one with the shade Soil (if I’m not mistaken) comes out slightly cooler and might suit you better. Just a thought. The fact that the fluff contrasts more with it doesn’t show a lot on camera so it might be different in real life.

Ooooh that lakes pullover looks so great! I love how the saddle shoulder looks on you. I'm so intrigued by the fennel seed color, it looks great! If you wound up making the Sweater no 26 as well I would be so curious how it compares! And you chose such a nice color combo for the Sweater no 22. It reminds me of a sweater my mom used to wear and I always thought the color combo was so chic!! It's interesting to hear about your experience with the COMING SOON sweater! I had been looking at the OLE hat, which is a brioche hat by the same designer. I was looking in the comments for that pattern, it sounded like folks were confused by the stitch as well. I saw that the designer responded saying that in German, half fishermans rib and half brioche were the same? I have never done a brioche or brioche-adjacent stitch yet and have been dying to try it out! It looks so squishy! Your sweater is in such a beautiful color, I'm sure it'll be a great finished piece!!
