There was no need to pick up straight after far from home. Trailer showed way too much, I know I’m so glad the trailer left out those amazing story lines of not getting into college serving as peters motivation and happy and mays fling was over.

The pacing is fine when you don't know what to expect, because everyone else is just waiting for the villian to show up while if you're blind, you're learning the story and actively trying to figure out if peter can reverse his situation. I watched it fully without any trailer knowledge but the second the highway scene happened with it shaking the girl behind me just goes "DOCTOR OCOTOPUS" and I was just like wtf how does she know. But after seeing the trailer post movie literally the major events were spoiled and you knew what to expect so I can see how pacing felt off because the plot you were expecting didn't swing into motion for a while. I'm glad i went in blind because I didn't even know who the villians were gonna be at all. The entire movie was a shock and i think that was the way it was meant to be, learning with peter as he discovers who came into the world. Trailers now a days are just 3 min recaps of the movie it feels like.
