This will forever be the best live video recorded.
@gladiators20379 жыл бұрын
The World is... is so much better live. The records have no way to portray how big their sound really is. The wall on intricate layering, the hugeness, and the powerful sound that hits you seeing them live is unmatched on the records. Plus that sight of all of the band on stage is incredible. Such a fantastic band.

Whoever directed/recorded the video, damn good job, I loved the focus on what the musicians were doing to make certain effects and focussing on them when they came in. Makes a change from a closeup on the singers face for the whole song.

Before I die, take me to the place where we wrote our names wrong, but they shared a space Branches and leaves gathered between where you are right now and where I wanna be Between earth and sky, we'll build a fire so high they'll turn all the lights out And all will sing: "I am alive, I deserve to be" Not getting quiet, swallowing age But bless those sharp tears But rage and burn, and turn all those lights out before it gets warm Always compressing days Spending long out of time with no one else sorry for the outage Haven’t you ever been set out and miscounted, frail and fully compromised? Sharing a meal at a table your friends built We reach for the salt with our arms wet

+Garnecia Elefantis salt attaches to wet things, like the arms. i take it as a metaphor, the salt of love from the proverbial table you all built eg friendship and reaching for the love leaves you covered. or something.

I just found them through researching Juárez Mexico after listening to it in a tori Amos song, I learned about the femicides years ago and in college and the tori Amos song Juárez but. today was the first time I looked at the Wikipedia and they wrote a song about it and that’s what brought me here. Somebody else will go look up tori Amos Juarez or Juárez maquiladora femicides from this comment and maybe they will find an awesome new band they never knew about, fucking internet lol. I’m gonna share this with my daughter she will love it

Most of these people are mainstays and have been there since the beginning. It's the background people that come and go. The horns, the excess guitars, the violins, etc. Drummer, trumpet, keyboard, fat guitar, back up singer/guitar, lead singer are always and have always been in the band.
