after watching this i decided to do some digging through the yellow and white tapes. The yellow tape apparently was a song made by antonio adolfo e a brazuca- transamazonica and the white one was the song used on Tim Maia - O Caminho Do Bem, pretty cool shit it points to madlib since his love for brazilian style music can be seen in multiple places.

The Nike SB x MF Doom Dunks are actually the third Nike SB Collaboration with a rapper. Nike SB released a collaboration with Quasimoto back in 2006 and even tho only 50 pairs released and was gifted to Stones Throw Records and their crew it still should counted as a release.

Amazing vid!! I love those shoes!! All of them.. I wish I could get my hands on them! I DO have the Avalanche single with the DOOM statue tho! The artwork and detail is so fun to look at. I just keep it safe in it’s original artistic box in my closet :). It was exciting when I saw the exact statue appear in the back of Jazz’s cab on the new revived show of the Fresh Prince tv series, “Bel-Air”, when Will first arrives from Phili to LAX and Jazz is driving Will to his Uncle Phil’s for the first time in the beginning of the 1st episode of season 1. The MF DOOM statue was a nice touch of detail for them to add to the reboot for such an iconic moment from the original series. 💞 Thanks An Absurd Existence for such a great vid! Cheers!!

I actually skipped the Avalanche figure as I already have the All Caps one. Nowadays, I wouldn't mind having the box or the vinyl. Figure is dope, but I like the first release as it matches the video more. I also got the Quas figure right after it dropped / sold out on Ebay. Crazy to see these being so sought after nowadays.

Almost bought a pair of doom dunks a few years ago but when he passed everyone started doubling the price. It’s the same with the supreme collab not a ton of people listened to him and when he died he got bigger and I’m not hating on people becoming newer fans cause I haven’t been a fan for his entire career but all I’m saying is him passing probably doubled his amount of fans and now most of the collectibles are terribly priced although a lot of the collectibles have been expensive for a while.. For example his Halloween masks all sold out when he passed but you were able to buy the full set forever…
