A really nice car but nowhere near the world's fastest GT4. A shop in the US called DeMan Motorsport builds GT4's that are bored and stroked to 4.5 liter and make well over 500hp at the wheels. They also use 10% shorter gear ratios which makes them faster than a GT3 RS in pretty much every way. Nice video though...

Pdk is quicker, especially on the circuit. The Pdk gear changes are seamless & one can downshift quite easily mid corner without upsetting the balance of the car. Something you would never do in a manual gearbox. In addition, no accidental downshifting into the wrong gear causing damage to the engine by over revving. Which happens with 6spd manual gearboxes. With shorter gearing, the Gt4 with it’s superior handling will be quicker than the Gt3. Porsche purposely gave it taller gearing so it would not be quicker than the Gt3.

These 718 4.0L have huge potential locked away in the insanely restrictive exhaust. Nothing to hide, no tricky and no smoke and mirrors. Just solid engineering proven over and over again :)

@@realstradman head onto Rennlist forums and have a read. There’s a ton of data that backs everything up. These cars are heavily restricted in stock form thanks to Particulate filters and EU6 emissions restrictions. This isn’t like extracting 60hp from an NA car 10 years ago, times have changed.

It is not true that the PDK GT4 is slower on the track than the GT4 manual. Porsche list the times on all their test for your own review. PDK is most definitely faster than the manual especially on a shorter track.

It might be fast, but it's not the fastest. DeMan Motorsports modifies the engines making it a stroker and boring the cylinders to 4.5L. It delivers 507 at the tires. And 100ft of torque more than a GT3 RS. That's probably the fastest I've seen so far.

When you are a passenger you done necessarily feel exactly what the driver feels coming through the steering wheel and the timing of the driver might be a little different than what one themselves might be used to....hence the fear. Plus most drivers trust themselves more than others (if they are good at driving fast on track)
