I loved what Dewalt did at the expo, nobody else did what they pulled off! I always wondered what the organizers regulations were on having an open fire but I guess they were okay with it because that bon fire was lit! The smell of plastic and lithium was definitely a unique aroma!

I've pointed this out before, DeWalt is not the first to offer a 'convertible' commercial mower. Rich manufacturing was doing a ZTR to walk behind machine almost twenty years ago. I think the ZTR to walk behind is a better idea than the ZTR to strander and, no of you really have to have the ability to do either, wright already had the sentar. That said, I like the ability to make adjustments for those that like to sit. It will be interesting to see what MTD/Stanley does with this line up.

They are the first to do a battery powered one. No claims have ever been made that they’re the first to “ever” do it. I think it’s going to be very appealing to many folks. Like you, it’s going to be interesting to see what happens.

@@mithgo_outdoor DeWalt may not be claiming 'first' but many other KZbinrs have. Not that it matters. Much like when MTD brought back the cub cadet commercial machines, my main concern is, are they going to remain committed to this? And are they going to get reputable dealers on board that will be able to service the machines? Great, you can buy one at home Depot but where would you go for warranty repairs or any service? I've got pretty little interest in this but you never know what starts the next trend. There's a lot on the machine I'm interested what it's function is. Like what are the dewalt cladded covers on the side...fake fuel tanks? Charging ports,

Charging access is on one of the sides you’re mentioning. Also covers electrical components. And yes, a facade to resemble fuel tanks in my opinion.
