@@termlimit100 do you know, train is not an American invention , nor internal combustion engines🥴🥴🥴 And in the US, 90% of locomotives still run by diesel, in other countries all the passenger locomotives have all changed to electricity like half a century ago. Dumb fks🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴

Of course a magnificent work of engineering. But it's greatness is equaled only by its total uselessness. I mean why do you need a train if you can reach that destination by car or plane. Only to prove that is possible? Ok...you've done it. And the world is amazed at this extremely complex engineering project. But it's still useless.

this is very important and useful for regional economic development in the distribution of raw materials and products in and out of the region, the backbone of the regional economy rail transport capacity is far LARGER than the capacity of car and plane transport, faster than car even though it is slower than plane large capacity that can be transported makes rail transport far cheaper than car and plane transport

It is also built to get the Military their quick. Tibet is always threatening to break away.

Now...this is a REALLY DUMB comment! At the beginning they clearly says that getting there by car is dangerous. As for planes, people in that region is poor and really limited people have the luxury to afford a plane. Also, the cargo. Maybe one of the most important reason. I challenge you to transport there the same quantity of cargo by plane with a cheaper price than by a train! 😑😑😑

Not useless. Now, the Chinese government has a mass transport system they can use to populate Tibet with Han Chinese, get a majority in the province, and definitively extinguish any hope the Tibetans might have to recover their independence after the 1949 invasion of their country. The Chinese uses similar tactics in other potentially rebellious provinces like against the Uyghur in Xinjiang.

Notwithstanding the remarkable achievement of this railway, this is a propaganda movie of the People's Republic of China.
