It's baaack!!!
Watch as Alpine Teguh breaks down the return of the ultra-high-end AlpineF#1Status sound system and goes into detail about what makes it the world's highest resolution car audio system!
Learn More about AlpineF#1Status: alpineusa.link...
---
SYSTEM OVERVIEW:
---
Digital recording continues to progress towards higher Bit and sampling rates. While some recording studios record as high as 384kHz/32Bit, the convenience of lower-resolution files with sampling rates of 44.1khz/16Bit found in CDs or highly compressed music from streaming services has become widely accepted as “good enough.” However, much of the original content is lost when playing music recorded or compressed to these lower sampling rates. High-Resolution audio was created to address the listener’s desire to enjoy music as the artist originally intended.
AlpineF#1Status was designed as the first complete vehicle sound system capable of not only reproducing this full-spec High-Resolution sound but doing so in the difficult environment that the inside of a vehicle presents.
By maintaining the details produced in a recording studio, the AlpineF#1Status system delivers music just as the artist intended resulting in the excitement of a live music performance.
---
SYSTEM COMPONENTS:
---
AlpineF#1Status is an all-inclusive system utilizing cutting-edge proprietary connectivity to achieve the highest resolution audio available in the vehicle. The total system includes:
(1) DAP-7909 - Digital Audio Player
(1) HDS-7909 - Head Unit Commander & B.Box
(1) HDP-H900 - Digital Audio Processor
(2) HDA-F900 - 4 Channel Amplifiers
(1) HDZ-9000SW - 11” Subwoofer *second subwoofer option available
(2) HDZ-9000WF - 6.5” Speakers
(2) HDZ-9000MID - 3” Mid Speakers
(2) HDZ-9000TW - 2.5” Tweeters
*An optional additional subwoofer can be added to the system for added bass output.
A pair of traditional RCA inputs can be used to retain head unit functions from an aftermarket radio or up to 6 high-level inputs can be used to integrate a factory head unit. All system components are synchronized and work in perfect harmony to produce a high-resolution experience you’ve never experienced in the car before.

When I called the Alpine dealer in Sacramento, CA. early this year when the information was released for this he told me that the price for the system that he'd been told was in the $25000 range, but that may have changed by now with all the craziness in the world. Nice to dream, I'll still with the DVI-9990. Just found out they pushed the price up to $39000. For most of us, that's more than our cars are worth.

Man these comments are great lots of people with various love for the electronic like me. My first major deck was an Alpine tape deck then saved up enough money for an Alpine cd player. Always had Alpine until I went to Eclipse for a hot minute until they went out of business now back to Alpine and sticking with my cde-148bt or until they come up with another flagship single din with great audio in mind. I would love a single din stuffed with the best of the best audio. Looking to finally upgrade to the new r series amps and really bring out the sound of my focal components.

I remember obsessing over my car audio system - so much fun! I had Alpine 7890 3 Macintosh Amp (High, Mid, Low) Image Dynamics (2x 36 band eqs (left / right) Image Dynamics Crossover with custom XLRs Image Dynamic Compression Drivers Dynadio MidBass custom kick pods Some 10” aluminum woofer custom box In a Delorean and had over 200 tuning from Ed Ning at Sunset Audio in SF. The imaging sounded like vocals were coming from 10’ in front of the car. When a cymbal hit it sounded like someone was tapping on my driver side glass and freaked people out. A friend had butler Amos that sounded amazing but I wanted clarity at very loud volumes. My car was tuned for SuperTramo Long way home. Wish I never sold the car & system. Can’t even get close now.

I love Alpine - I have Alpine in my car - and this new system surely is amazing engineering. But I will question one thing though, perhaps even the core and main sales pitch for this system, and that is the hype around Hi-Res Audio. Through the years, despite all the commercial efforts to outdate the CD and make it now seem “low-res” or “highly compressed” (which it is not), there never was and perhaps never will be strong scientific evidence that the human ear can truly distinguish a real difference between the “Redbook CD standard” (44.1kHz/16-bit) and "Hi-Res Audio" (96kHz/24-bit, let alone the totally exaggerated 384kHz/32-bit). Even back in the 80’s the now venerable CD was engineered to accurately reproduce the 20-20,000Hz range that the human ear can hear based on solid scientific evidence and research, for recorded music. That’s probably why we can still buy CDs nearly 40 years later, and its slow demise is simply more likely due to the emergence of more practical forms of media rather than actual sound quality, even though ironically most people listen and stream their music in lossy (low-res for real) formats nowadays. High bit-rate digital audio IS useful (and was actually invented) for recording studios for the simple reason that they must manipulate and process (and re-sample) recorded tracks multiple times without losing any fidelity, much like the studio high-speed master tape reels, but when the music is finalized there is no more need to keep such high bit-rates down to the consumer, it is a waste of data and money for simple music playback, even with a top-end audiophile system. To actually hear any difference whatsoever between CD and Hi-res Audio, if at all, you would basically have to listen to your music in an acoustically “sealed” room with absolutely no background noise, which isn’t a natural (or even a fun) way to enjoy music. The car is one of the worst places for background noise, and therefore in all honesty ruins any effort to reproduce music in any “purer form” than CD. All this to say that big companies - like Alpine - are keen to invent a “problem” to sell you something overpriced and give you bragging rights to say you’ve spent the price equivalent to that of a new car on an audio system which will sound better than everybody else’s. True, this system WILL sound amazing because of all the top-end engineering, including the speakers, but is this difference in sound worth… $30k+? Allow me to (really) doubt it. When we discovered High-Definition (HD / Hi-Res) movies and TV, it was a revelation, and EVERYONE could see and appreciate the difference immediately. We didn’t need to be convinced or be sold to the idea; we saw the difference by ourselves right away. For “Hi-Res Audio” however, this anticipated revelation is simply not there, and companies must throw at us a bunch of technical mumbo jumbo to make us believe that it sounds better, and most importantly spend the cash to justify the supposedly perceived difference. Worth reading: audiophilereview.com/audiophile/the-truth-about-high-resolution-audio-facts-fiction-and-findings/ www.mojo-audio.com/blog/the-24bit-delusion/

Back in 1990 I put every penny I had made that year working two jobs into what was at the time the top of the line alpine system. The island hadn’t yet seen 15 inch alpine woofers. Alpine electronic crossover, two alpine 1000 watt amps I can’t remember how big the amp was for the mids and highs but it had the best electronic eq that alpine made back then with the best alpine CD player I could order. It cost me about $5000 back then. What’s weird is I don’t have the 13 second bug anymore but I’ve stored that system away and I’ve been offered much more than $5000 for that system? Haven’t been into audio systems for 20 plus years. Why do people still want those components? Aloha from Hawaii.

This was way before, but Alpine was still the best and most popular car stereo decks in the 1980's, when cassettes were the current medium. I had one of the best, last their top of the line cassette decks, the 7385. I had it in my 1984 Buick Grand National and loved it. Back then, they were relatively expensive. I still have it in storage. I know the present ones are even better. It's just so sad that they are hard put in the newer cars with all the vehicle functions integrated into the infotainment head unit.

@Tuffenough4u

Makes no sense... Why would you want a system like this in a small sports car? The environment would ruin the sound quality and completely defeat the purpose of spending big money on a system like this. If you want to bump that "miata"/what ever you're dealing with, in the ass... get a couple Focal K2's and a JL 13TW5v2-4 or if on a budget the Rockford P3S 1x12. A good head unit with a BLUE-2 dual channel amp with Punch mono amp for the sub and you won't care about needing more

I think i will stick to OEM CAR Bose system, after all its not like your going to go in the Wolds most loudest car audio system comps, even when alpine brought out its new VF Head unist it costs around the 3.5k mark and that's with out changing the speakers and sound denuding ,wires cables and install all up the cost including install was around the 8K mark depending on what serries speakers you got, even with the F serries it would be around the 15K mark for what, there's no good audio CD's out there or even downloaded MP3 sound ,the last time i checked the only DDD recorded cd i have is the recording studio for George moroder midnight express movie soundtrack which was all redcored via DDD( digital to digital to digital ) transfer onto the CD, everything else that your brought back in the early 1980's was AAA, DAA,DDA, The same Cd blows anything at all the stereo retail stores when i take it there as a sound test, even their demo CD's and audio files are not as crisp and full range of every sound that was transferred onto that CD, + Blue ray 4K sound is just that a movie and the sound is still based on what it is ATMOS, dolby DTX etc etc and even my Midnight express Cd sound is still better sounding and that's coming from the hi end car stereo retail shop owners? S analog to analog or Digital to digital and then analog so unless you have the cash and the right car interior which would need a sound technician to work out the best sound to reach each person's ears, depending on where your sitting in the car, which is impossible as every persons ears need to be checked and then to have the speakers send the right sound on all frequency's that your ears can hear, which we all know everyone's taste in music is totally different, unless everyone in your car loves the same type of music and how loud it is as well?

Selling as a package only is probably the dumbest business model ever you kno how many more you could sell if u didn't have to buy the crap speakers just to get the dsp

Alpine is getting more expensive but losing their original idea. Good, clean power and the latest tech. They don't even make a amplifier capable of 1000RMS anymore and your paying almost 1k for 300RMS and "digital benefits"

No it's stupid any one can buy xlr to rca adapter 2 adi signal isn't. Magic it's standard in more new cars so basically you force people to buy junk speakers just to get a nice dsp look at how horrible the sensitivity is on them horrible hope this flops and u see how dumb of a business model this is

This is all just a bunch of mumbo jumbo. If you can find me a set of Alpines that sound better than my Audison Thesis speakers, then I’ll change my mind. Until then…
Installing speakers? These techniques make a BIG difference!
