Well, Rafflesia is very rare to find so it might not be a perfect gift to be given to a partner, especially if it will die after weeks or days. (But I really like seeing one but I live in a city.)

. as a parasite it doesn't need to spend energy making it's own food. THats one of the adavantages. Secondly, Rafflesia probably live a very long time, all of the flowers on this vine are most likely from just one Rafflesia plant that lives inside the Tetrastigma vine
