You are totally right! I mean it is a cool video and a super nice decent, but I am not sure that this is the way to promote road cycling. It is just a very bad look to jump red-lights and cut corners while talking about how technical, narrow and sketchy the descent is...

60+ kph in the town at the end in a Swiss "Zone 30". If it was with a car/motorbike you'd get a Criminal charge, with a fine in the thousands of Swiss Francs.

You can get a hefty fine on a bicycle too. Plus, he ran a red light earlier, which is no bueno in Switzerland. Uploading such "evidence" online isn't smart & fun. I would consider blurring out the video parts - because the Swiss are fu*ked up when it comes to their laws!

@@Kaiweeks A Swiss 30 is a Swiss 30. They take their laws serious, no matter the vehicle. With a bicycle you can still get a fine for reckless riding and end in court..

There could easily be a car / motorcycle behind the corner at 7:56, taking a stop a few 100m down so you don''t see it coming. The chances are slim, but I don't think anyone would fault you guys for taking some corners a bit more careful on an open road.

The red light means stop, so stop. Particularly important on dangerous roads like these. This kind of bad behaviour also gives road cyclists a bad reputation with motorists, and trust me, motorists that hate road cyclists are not fun to meet on these big passes. Please respect the law of the road if you visit Switzerland again.

Having ridden this exact road and many others a few weeks after this was filmed the automated construction lights are not well programmed for cycling so often it’s best just to go when clear rather than get caught half way through it with on coming traffic.
