The Kamatsu D575A sounds like a real powerhouse. I love how it combines reliability with operator comfort. Definitely a game-changer for heavy-duty construction work
@sovereign126Ай бұрын
575A was discontinued due to lack of reliability. It's too large for anything but big civil projects & mining. Overall it was a disappointment.
@ExtremeMachinesZoneАй бұрын
@@sovereign126 That’s a fair point. While the Komatsu D575A may have had its limitations in terms of reliability and its niche use in large-scale projects, I still think its impact can’t be denied. The sheer power and scale of this machine were groundbreaking at the time. Maybe the discontinuation speaks more to the evolving needs of the industry than to the machine itself? It's also interesting to consider whether advancements in engineering could lead to a modern version of such a powerhouse-more reliable and versatile. What are your thoughts on where the future of super-sized equipment is headed?
@jasonwilliamson5352Ай бұрын
@ExtremeMachinesZone and yet the D11 was around long before the crappy Komatsu and will be around long after, and its reliability is unmatched.
@ExtremeMachinesZoneАй бұрын
@@jasonwilliamson5352 I see your point about the D11 being a long-standing staple in the heavy machinery world. However, I'm curious if the newer models like the Komatsu D575A might offer advancements in operator ergonomics and fuel efficiency that could change the game in their own right. While reliability is crucial, do you think that the integration of modern technology in machines like the D575A could potentially redefine standards in the industry, even if they are newer to the scene? It’s interesting to consider how innovation can complement established reliability. What are your thoughts?
@jasonwilliamson5352Ай бұрын
@ExtremeMachinesZone you ask good questions. The new technology and innovations you speak about in newer equipment can also be added to a CAT as well, and then you still maintain the proven reliability with said new technology. For decades and decades, longer than I have been alive, CAT has been at the top or right there for hard rock mining. CAT built America from all the huge historic damns, water storage resivours, interstates, the logging industry, pipelines, and more. When the majority of said huge projects and logging went down, CAT did take a hit. Then, they started branching out into farming and small equipment production and semi engines. I used to deal with and operate lots of CAT equipment in my younger days from dozers, front end loaders (988 primarily), scrapers, wheel dozers and trash compaction wheel dozers and more. It used to be that you always paid more for a CAT when buying new versus other brands. However, when it came to replacing hydraulic pumps and other parts, CAT was cheaper than other brands. The cost savings much more on the parts end with CAT than other equipment. Not only has CAT built American interstates, to mining and more, they have had a huge impact worldwide. Komatsu makes great equipment, and I've operated them before, but when it comes to a CAT D11 dozer or a Komatsu D575A....I'll take the D11 all day long and twice on Sunday.

Its impossible to comprehend just how massive these things are. They can give you the weight and measurements even the video of it pushing massive amounts of material but until you see it up close and personal you can't really appreciate How MASSIVE and POWERFUL it is. Watching it push that massive bolder with ease reminded me of a video I seen a week ago of a skid steer with a pretty big boulder loading a little Ford Ranger. The best part was that ranger had a pallet in the Bed as if that was going to hold it😃 that boulder dropped about a foot to the bed "Pallet" and then fell another 3 to 4 feet with the pallet and bed 😂🤣 Search "Boulder destroys Ford Ranger"
